Anyone know the status of team selections for Bigfoot?  We sent in our aplication and have gotten confirmation it was recieved but do not show up on the list of girls teams nor can not get a reply as to whether or not we are in.  I know we put it off until the last day and there are 21 teams signed up at GU-13 so while it would be a bummer I could understand if we did not make it in but with a number of parents already taking the time off work we need to get into NW Cup or Sea Tac Cup if Bigfoot does not work.  I know there are Snoho people here.  Do you know anything?  Thanks!

Victory:

You shouldn't even be in that tournament ... not to knock the tournament, but it isn't for top level team. Why aren't you up at Rimland with all the other top U-13 teams?

Thanks
We would of gone to Rimland but had a nuimber of scheduale conflicts.  Also thought it would be nice to go see our other team.  Now everyone has taken the time off and we need to do something for that weekend.

Bigfoot is not that bad of a tournament.  It might not draw the top teams in the state but it still has some stiff competition.

The GU12 looks pretty stacked

I think he was referring to the GU13. If you look at it Crush and Alliance Gold our probably the toughrst teams in the Gold Division.

not to mention that bigfoot is just about the funnest tourney of the summer.  camping, mosquitos at dusk while playing barefoot soccer, the creek, the barbeques, the mingling from rv to rv.  it's a blast.  Oh, and there's a tournament going on too!  Bonus!

Actually, Bigfoot is an appropriate tournament for Victory.  They will do well, won't make the finals, but their girls will get a good positive experience both on and off the field.

Good luck!

Right now all I care about is finding out if we will be playing at all.  Simply can not get an answer.  Will worry about the finals later

No just the teams entered

We got confirmation our application was received but have not showed up on the list even though the voice mail says it is updated daily.

Then D think you have nothing to worry about, Think a tournament comm. would let a team know if they not get in.

Since teams usually book hotel rooms and camp site early

D I bet you are right but still worried a bit.  Yes a number of parents have taken time off of work and have booked hotels and campsites.  Saw at SP people saying Bigfoot was over booked and got me worried.

would be nice to see name on list or get return email or call.  I know they are busy.  Anyone know in the past how many they ran per age group?

It's pretty typical that Snoho does not post schedules until the night before.....

Heard from a pretty reliable source that they are not turning teams away, just got ALOT of teams registering and they are trying to get fields, times, etc. figured out so logistically they can make it work.  Lots of fields in Snohomish -- they will get it worked out!!

With 15 fields they should be able to fit in many games.

After all those years having both United and Bigfoot you would think the scheduling would be done by a template or something to mimic the years before.....just a thought :?

Kind of what I understand too.  Sounds like a lot of teams signed up and they are trying to figure out how to make it work.

United is looking to schedule games at another location.  I wish people would be patient.  There is a tournament template however it was not designed to accomidate this many teams.  The club wants to ensure that teams are not playing into the evening hours.

United does have other locations for games and will pull them into the schedule.

Be patient....
