Bracket A:
Winner: WPFC
Westsound a close 2nd

Bracket C:
I am picking Harbor, but Aanvallen will give them a run for their money! PLEASE prove me wrong Green team and WIN!!!!

Bracket D:
Winners: Badger FC
Heartbreakers 2nd

Bracket E:
toss up, but I'll pick Netwreckers to win

Great job Brat!     Don't understand the part in red above...???  Different backets won't play each other.  They have it set up so just the top 2 teams in each bracket meeting in a final game.  Am I missing something??

PS...If there's a sportsmanship award, my prediction is Aanvallen for sure!  ;)   This team plays hard whistle to whistle, and win or lose they don't hang their heads and instead show great support for the other team.  I wish your team the best...how can you not love a team like this!!!

I agree bigtime.  This coach has done a lot to turn not only this team (in their second year together) around, but he has also done alot to turn the whole Annvallen program around.

His team is a true reflection of what kid's sports should be.  Compeditive AND good natured.  Its only a matter of time before we see more great teams coming out of Auburn.

actually, Aanvallen 95 could be considered a "new" team this year as only 2 of the Baby A's came back. Both were playing up last year.
Thanks for the kudos for our team. They took it upon themselves, for the most part, to be great sportsmans. Parents did a good job raising these kids!
Aanvallen IS a great club to be a part of. This is my 3rd year with them from both DD's and I probably won't leave even if they do.
No BE, I am NOT volunteering .... yet!

As for the brackets, I read it as the top points leaders from ALL of the brackets will play each other.

From BlastOff:
A.  Four (4) and six (6) team brackets.
The two teams with the highest number of points will advance to the Championship match.

B.   Five (5) and seven (7) team bracket.
The two teams with the highest point total will advance to the Championship match.  The formula used to calculate the point total for teams that play four games is: total points divided by 4 times 3.  Example:  20 points divide by 4 equals 5.  5 times 3 equals 15. (20/4) x 3 = 15.  The team with 4 games will be assigned 15 points.

C.  No quarter or semi final playoffs between brackets.  The top two (2) teams in a bracket will play each other in a final match on Sunday.

See this link that shows the schedule, and it seems to be fairly clear that teams won't play outside the brackets.  In your item C above it says "top two (2) teams in a bracket will" and not "top two (2) teams in the brackets will".  See the link and I think you'll see what I mean.  Thanks Brat.

Per the link I gave you, you can see there is one final for the top two teams in each bracket, and that is it.  Besides, you'll also notice they attempted to set up these brackets so that teams of semi equal ability face each other, i.e. not have the winner of bracket A face the winner of say bracket F.    Hope that helps.  Not sure what else I can say.  ;)

Nope Mufasa not confused :?

Brackets at the Blast Off don't play each other (GU11) just top two teams play in final.

Mufasa will put out his predictions tomorrow or Wednesday

so this means that there are 6 winners in U-11, one per bracket? Now this, I really don't understand  :x
I thought the top 2 teams ( point wise) would go on to face each other out of ALL the brackets. Thats why I picked WPFC and Norpoint to go for the final.
OK, just how mixed up am I?

Brat, yep, you are right--one winner from each bracket.  It's what makes this tournament so popular!! The fact is, most tournaments are won by the same set of teams--discouraging after a while if you are not one of the top 5-6.  The Blast Off is popular because you can play against your own level of competition.  At the older ages, they take no P1, P2 or P3 teams to keep it this way.  It's a bit like a round robin set up and more fun and less pressure.

Boy, things sure got quiet after I asked that question.    You're telling me there's not one Reign Purple CP or "insiders" out there that's willing to cough up the answer to this question?     Inquiring minds want to know.   ;)
