Appreciate your comments, Vantucky! For Keeps club is fine with it too - same club?.
Still wondering if anyone ever felt they got "in trouble", or their child disadvantaged in some way, for posting  info on a public board that was NOT of the personal attack variety.

What did Squash mean when s/he said "I have been spoken to about the site before in the past"

Hopefully any club or coach who cared would give CP's some guidelines on what they want/don't want made public.  What seems obvious to a coach (like analyzing team strengths & weaknesses) might not be to the enthusiastic CP?

I'm thinking older age groups =  seasoned parents = enthusiasm still high, just more cautious and wary, and so less posting;

What I mean is they don't enjoy that I have a site. As we all know though it isn't about the club, now is i t!!! It's about the kids and players...they make the clubs go round and round. It sometimes gets forgotten in the egos...isn't that right Cheetos 8)

Last year, I was only told by the coach to not say anything negative towards anyone. That way, it wouldn't come back and bite us on the butt. I think I did pretty good!
I am still doing what was asked of me then and will continue as long as I am associated with ANY club.
But to ban me or my kids? I pay for my computer and access, if they ( the clubs) want to pay for it ALL, then they can have a say of where I go and what I say, but until such time..... I'll post

Told by Prez. of club "People who post will be chewed up and spit out. He would have a serious problem with team posters." all right I can't quote because I can't remember exact wording but got the jist that even DD would be penilized. Just ask Kennard.

Only prob I ever had with posting was when I posted links to some video clips and oposing coach told our coach that he didn't think they would have beat DD's team if they hadn't watched our videos so they knew what to watch for when playing us...  Oops

No more video posting form me!!  Wasn't told I couldn't, I just don't want to give advantage to opposition.

Back off topic, but we actually had to stay there last year.  Whoever booked that place should have been shot.

She did not tell you this game was a Quarter Final game in the Commish Cup.  We lost 1-0 on a free kick.      I was team manager at the time and knew it was there so just as much my fault.

The thing that got me were there were families living in a one room hotel room, with bunk beds stuffed in their room and a bbq chained to the post.  Not to mention the other group that would fire up their piece of s*** truck that wouldn't stay running to go somewhere at 1 or 2 in the morning.....

you mean amenities that normally cost way more were all inclusive at this fine resort ? Shoot, I wonder how long their waiting list is ? You DID have the possum stew this place is famous for, right ? (they smoke the possum pre-kettle for flavor, yea, that's right, smoked with the exhaust pipe of a 68 Chevy 3/4 ton pick-up, mmmmm-BUDDY!) That noise you hear at 2 AM is your dinner being prepared.

Good: Comfort Inn, Spokane
           Cocusa Hotel, Burlington

Bad: None as of yet, for us... unless you call the RV a room with no AC in 90 degree heat bad

I stayed at the Dis-Comfort Inn in Spokane once (the one up by the "Y".  Not sure about others but it was the worst night sleep I ever had in a hotel....in Washington.

This should be a great new topic.  :P

The one we stayed at was a straight shot to the fields. Closer to Idaho. We had an older suite, 2 bedROOMS, living room and kitchen. Most others had the newer hotel part.

Keeper Mom, that was just the sort of thing I've wondered about, thanks for sharing.  :)
Would have been nice if piano man's club pres gave specifics .
Whether we agree or not with clubs/coaches saying "don't post", it's just kind of nice to be aware of what they might put in the "this could hurt our team" category, tactically speaking.
Personally, love to read detailed game recaps, but would they see that like videos?. Also, hard to believe 1 video could cause a game result! Maybe that was some weird brand of winner's modesty?
