Would it be possible for these teams to PM you to tell you where they are going to play this fall. Mighty big task, but not too big for the Big Blue Chip. I have been asked from a few teams what we are going to do. It's difficut for us coaches to know where to put our kids.

I'm not sure that I understand the logic with your #2 and #3 picks not advancing out of bracket play at the crossfire tourney ahead of the team that won the tourney, however I'm also not sure I need to understand the logic (or lack of logic, whatever the case) as it is your poll.

I don't have near enough time to introduce logic into these rankings. They are strictly numbers, based on not just one tournament, but all of them, with the most recent ones weighing more than the older ones. I can tell you that the Crossfire tournament made things a lot tighter up at the top.

OK, maybe we should focus on your #3 pick, Auburn Strikers. Auburn was at #4 last week before they were in the crossfire tournament. At crossfire they beat the Shoreline Saphires, lose to the crossfire B team and tie EFC red, they don't get out of their bracket and they move up one position? I guess I just don't understand....Still a nice long list.

LOL... :lol: People say, "things will be settled on the pitch", but then when they are, they are not reflected in these lists. Mufasa not the one confused but his list does reflect what happens on the pitch. His list also incorporates feedback from posse. BC is a U12 CP and Mufasa love that he put his time into putting this list together for the U11 peeps. BC's list is a computer generated list based on games played, score, how strong your opponent is, etc. The more stats BC can get the better his list will be. You can rank on Mufasa cuz he doesn't use fancy math and his list is pretty subjective. but sort of pointless to pick on BC... his ranks are not based on how he feels but what the math says.

Both views are interesting. It seems rather ambitious to attempt to apply objective (we'll take your word for it) criteria to assess the relative skill/performance levels of groups of 10-year old girls. (!!!!!) I suspect the Cat has seen many more of these games and is working with more third-party input and information with respect to talent, experience, etc. BC is by his own admission disregarding PDL and friendly results entirely; while they may not be as valuable as tournament games, I suspect the Cat thinks he has learned something by paying attention to those results.

Having said all that, it's remarkable that both have the same top 9, in generally the same order.
