OK Sports fans, here ya go.....Thanks to For Keeps  :roll:

The 3000 post contest is simple.

Cheese loves baseball....always has.
Just guess the most favorite baseball player of all time for Cheese and you win.

Easy.

Winner gets a Mocha next time (or first time) we meet.

I will PM Dragon the answer so no one can say I hand picked the winner.  ;)

I see a back east slant on these picks, maybe somebody has a bit of insider info??? Hmmmm  Well I already picked the best Boston Red Sox of all time with Yaz--but may add Roger Clemons, Nolan Ryan, Mark "The Bird" Fidrych, Lou Brock, Dick Pole (worst name in Seattle M's history), Al Hrabosky, Alvin Davis, Cal Ripken Jr.

Cheese is from Eastern Washington not the East Coast. I like the Red Sox. And if you loved them like I do, then the greatest Red Sox player is Ted Williams-no one is even close. What are you thinking? Big Papi is probably a distance second because he got them the ring...

 Oh by the way I picked Tony because he played in Walla Walla as a minor leaguer. I wonder if Cheese ever got to see him play?

Tony Gwynn played in the Tri-Cities :shock:   I didn't know that :evil:   Woulda been all over that.
Tony is an excellent guess, I would put him in the top 5 fav of Cheese.  He is a class act all the way around.

You know what happens when you assume :roll:

The player I originally picked has not been guessed yet.......but, since I added a pitcher to the contest he has been guessed (sort of).

He's in a list of pitchers, the man with 7 no hitters (I think it was 7  :oops: )
The man who I went out of my way to get tickets at the Kingdome just to see him pitch and saw his last pitch as a Major Leaguer......he got shelled  :shock:
