Royals 3 Reign 1

Good game to watch.  Kind of slippery for the girls, but they all played hard.  Royals scored first on a pk outside the box that was perfectly placed by sweepergirl.....WAY TO GO SG.  Then RRGs scored with a nice across the box shot.  2-0 at halftime.  2nd half the Reign came out and scored about 5 minutes in to the game.  Royals scored the last goal with about 8 minutes left.  Royals Goalie made some incredible saves today.  Reign played very hard and had some nice shots on goal.  Good game to all.

Crossfire Porter over Royals '93 White 2-1

Well played game by both teams. Compliments to the Royals - their grass fields are in great condition. It was a pleasure to play there.

Norpoint Americans 1 - Royals White 0
« Reply #4 on: October 22, 2005, 04:15:51 PM »

What a game!!!  Once again the Norpoint girls controlled just about the entire first half, lots of shots that just missed. Kept the Royals keeper busy. 2nd half was up and down the field. All the girls were wiped out after this one on such a sunny day.
Glad Dragon was WRONG!!!

Way to go Norpoint!!!

Reacap of Eagles-Laity vs Crush

Eagles-Laity came out knowing that they had a hard game ahead of them. Crush came out agressive controlling the ball in the Eag's half but the Eagles defensively  held together not allowing the crush a good look at the goal. What attempts the Crush did have were stymied by the Eag's Keeper. The Eag's scored on a quick counter to their Forward who beat out the Crush's sweeper. Eag's take the lead 1-0 into the half.
Eag's came out fired up 2nd half and the game was equally fought, however the Eag's did not give Crush a good look at the goal with their defense today. Eag's scored again with a player following a shot in and placing it into the open goal.
Eag's played aggressive until the end determined to win this game.

Wow. :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:

Congratulations to the Eagles Team. Sounds like this was one hard fought game too. Must agree this probably was the Upset of the Week.

Congratulations to all the Eagles Team. I have to agree, Like the saying goes "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child" so "It Takes a Team to Win a Game". Not very original but so so true.

Could not have stated this one better. I have to admit this Soccer Mom was very proud of her Daughter and all the RRG's. This seems to be a new strategy to let SG take some shots on goal and she could not be happier. Her face after the goal went in was priceless and I hope you caught that one on your camera. The grass definately was slippery for both teams. Lots of falls today and the game was starting to take a physical turn which is a little disconcerting to watch.

I have to mention that as a parent, we appreciated the High 5's the girl's received from the Reign Parents at the end of our tunnel when the girl's ran through it at the end but some of the comments that were being made during the game was disappointing. I had to control my own tongue because some of the comments were totally uncalled for such as "What goes around comes around" when someone was down.  :?  :?  :?  :? These are 11 year old girl's and what does that say to them. My DD heard some of those comments and was disappointed by them. Thank you though to the Parent on the Reign Team that told her she had a great game when we were going to the car. It renewed her faith that all parents don't act like jerks. I have tough skin and so does my DD so my only comment would be remember we are adults and we should check our emotions prior to arriving at the game.

Great Day though to the RRG's and we look forward to next week's game.

EFC over T-Birds 7-1
« Reply #19 on: October 22, 2005, 07:31:26 PM »

Sorry, I don't have much in the way of a play by play.  By the time I got there, maybe half way through the second half it was 6-1.. From what I saw EFC was dominating, but T-Birds didn't give up and were trying hard 'til the end.

Dragon -

Not sure we are copying anything but she has a great long ball shot so the coach applies it when he sees the need. :)  :)  :)

It also gives her a chance to do something else besides Defense. Don't get me wrong she loves playing Defense but she also like scoring once in a blue moon too.

Great Day for all the Team!!!!!!!

We look forward to seeing you again at River Road as well. It is always a fun game when we play against our neighbors in the Harbor ;)  ;)  ;)
Let's just say a quick prayer that the incredible weather we are having holds. This was one terrific day for soccer and Mother Nature seems to be cooperating.

Time to get my SG and her siblings fed. I hear them scratching at the door that it is dinnertime.

D-3 rules state max. 5 point differential for scoring.  That is the default when posting scores.
