Stolen Post from the "other Guys"
A mother was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her teenage son. Suddenly the boy bursts into the kitchen. "Careful! Careful! Put in some more butter! Oh my goodness! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful!...CAREFUL! I said CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you crazy? Have you lost your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!" The mother stared at him. "What's wrong with you? You think I don't now how to fry a couple of eggs?" The son calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm trying to play soccer."

I agree....... I thought this post was hilarious!

I relayed the post to my BU16 player.......  he loved it.  And I am proud to say that his response was, "I'm glad I don't have that problem with you when I play, mom."

Aww shucks Keeperparent--you all had a moment.  This is so true and if parents could put a video camera on each person during a game, we could get great video for tv.

Seriously, I don't bug him when he's on the field.  He knows what he should/shouldn't do at this point.  Plus- the "Cheese" is correct.... I do film the game and I don't like to hear myself on tape.

I have found that when I am filming the games, the fact that there is a mic on my camera doesn't seem to phase people when they get going.  

And as far as this part.......  :  "Aww shucks Keeperparent--you all had a moment"...........

with as many battles as a parent has with teenagers, I'll take all of the "aww shucks" moments I can get.   ;)
