DRAGON PLAYER OF THE WEEK & TEAM OF THE WEEK
« on: October 30, 2005, 09:32:15 PM »

Dragon must say a little disappointed this week in low number of nominations.  :(

Last week had SUPER turn-out for nominations and this week was very poor.  Due to low number (and not one from District 1  )
Dragon will only have 1 player of the week this week.

Great job to the winner and also great job to the Team of the Week

And the winner for week #8 is:

..................drumroll............

#88  LAURA  EASTSIDE RED

Laura plays forward for the "Gumby-gals" and did an outstanding job this weekend!  EFC played DOS and it was a very physical game. (no dirty plays, just good clean hard tackles).  The DOS gals always come to play hard and twice during the game Laura went down with hard tackles and had to leave the field.  Both times (fighting back tears), she bounced back and refused to quit when her team needed her.  She came out and Scored a goal and also got the assist in another goal.  Her whole performance was very unselfish, she dished the ball left and right looking to set up her team-mates for a chance to score.  Every second she was out on the pitch she put constant pressure on the DOS defenders.  It was a very gutsy showing by this up and coming super-star!  Congrats Laura on a heck of a game.  To quote one of the CP's; "Yesterday, Laura was the epitomy of playing with HEART & FIRE ! Great job on winning the Coveted Dragon!

And now, the team of the week............

.............drumroll.................

DISTRICT ONE'S, CHIKA LOBO'S !!!!!!!!!

The "Crazy (Wolves) Girls" had one heck of a game yesterday.  They went in the game against Lake Stevens Eclipse T. after only have 1 win the whole season.  Eclipse has been at the top of their game the last few weeks and had only giving up 4 goals during the season.  Even the Coach of the Crazy girls said; "Eclipse is the best in the group".  The Chika's respected their opponent but did not come to the pitch to lose this day.  They gave the Eclipse all they could handle and their defense did an Outstanding job down to the last girl.  The Chika's who until this point had only scored 4 goals came out and scored, not once, but TWICE on the mighty Eclipse.  Each and every girl on the Chika Lobo's deserve a big hug from their CP's for a job well done!  Dragon hate to say this, but the coach of Chika's was wrong.  This day it was the CHIKA LOBO'S who were best in the group !!!!!
Congrats on winning the Coveted Dragon.  Great job to each and every member of the team for playing with HEART & FIRE !

Now let's give the POTW and the TOTW a big WPS round of aplause

WOW!!!

Chika Lobos are very proud.  Thank you sooo much Dragon.

I will copy this post and read to all the girls.

Congradulations to Eastside player.  All U11 players deserve a huge GOOD JOB on having fun and playing good soccer.

I also think the coaches that are developing this age group are doing a wonderful job making this next generation of Washington players top notch.
