Crossfire over EFC 2-1, crossfire had a nice goal off of a corner kick and finished with a header.

WPFC Black vs ECFC.....what's new, this matchup ended in a tie...AGAIN! For some reason the Johnny Cash girls cannot get a “W” against EC. Emerald City started by bending one from end line into the back of the net near the far post....people are still trying to figure out how that one went in. Then on a breakaway, WPFC Black keeper came out on the EC forward and got plowed down (no foul called), but the ball was kept from going into the net by other WPFC players (keeper injured hand on play but jumped up and played on). Seconds later EC took another shot near the end line, but it hit the WPFC injured hand and went in. So, girls in Black down 2-0. :shock: Then they dug in and fought back hard. They put tremendous pressure on the EC defense and ended up ripping off 3 straight goals to take the lead!! :mrgreen:

Two of these three shots were hit so hard that I’m amazed they didn’t rip the net. About 10 minutes left, and WPFC up 3-2. Then unfortunately ECFC scored with about a minute to go, and that's how it ended folks.... 3-3. Hard fought game by both sides. We're going to get that Emerald City one of these days!

Fusion 3-3 Strikers
Crush 3-0 Patriots

:roll: Never a dull moment & always a nail biter when the Fusion plays! Beginning to think predictions are a curse!!
SSSFC-Strikers led 1-0 at the half ( :shock: isn’t it offsides when the keeper kicks it over the D’s head to one of their own standing behind the defense? hmmmm)
2nd half Fusion finally put one in then “scored” again on a bobble to take the lead. (The nail biter part)-In the last 15 min., Strikers score to tie it back up then take the lead on a PK rebound, in the last seconds Fusion scores on a rebound off the Striker keeper, final 3-3
Almost another GREEN day :mrgreen:

Second ECFC goal was actually a misplayed corner kick. First WPFC goal came just before halftime and was huge -- it had been mostly Green to that point. WPFC defense actually played quite well, and made ECFC pay for a couple of defensive breakdowns. Second half was back and forth. Tying goal (about 5 minutes left, but I admit 1 minute sounds better) was amazing individual effort.

Okay....yes, it was from a corner kick (sorry forgot to add that), but it was seconds later as I said. Point was that if it hadn't hit the hand the keeper injured seconds earlier, it almost certainly would have been saved. And I disagree that it had been mostly Green to that point. And no, the last goal was not with 5 minutes left....maybe 2 minutes, or 3 at the very most, but does it really matter? Sheesh. :roll:

LOL..!!! :lol: :lol: I went back and looked at week 1 when WPFC played ECFC, and Pollyana had a similar type of post following my game report on that one too. Apparently, Pollyana is watching the game through ECFC glasses. I'm sure the same could be said for me, i.e. watch it through ZZ-Top's cheap "Black" sunglasses, but I really do try to provide an accurate game report so people have an idea of what happened. If I leave something out (this is a paragraph folks, not a front page article in a newspaper), or I say there was 1 minute left instead of 2....well, go ahead take your jabs. I have thick Scandinavian pirate skin.

Aanvallen vs Crossfire

"A" girls came out on fire yesterday. Lots of ball movement by both teams. LOTS of shots on goal by both, but Aanvallen found the back of the net 3 times in the first half, Crossfire none.
The bad thing about this game was about the 6 offsides called on Aanvallen. Crossfire wouldn't let us go long for any breakaways and if we did, Crossfire pulled back and we got the call. VERY frustrating, but rightly played by Xfire.
Miki had a very nice corner that dang near made it in.
2nd half, Crossfire's #41 I think, had a great foot and found the back of the net ( from about 10-15 yds out ) for Xfires only goal.
Scored ended 3-1 Aanvallen.
Great game by ALL the girls!

Not bad- I picked all the winners correctly, just was off on my scores

I thought Glory would hold their own a bit more against FCV Courage, but they are a young team. Otherwise, not too far off! Thanks for the recaps!

I just saw that Spokane Shadow beat the NW Nationals Red 5-2 :shock: Shadow scored 5 goals in this game when they had only scored 3 in the previous 8 games before this one..?? :shock: The NW Nationals team is a very solid team, and if they had their full team in Spokane for this game, then every parent on that Shadow team should be treating their kid to a triple fudge utopia at DQ for a job well done!! :lol: Can anyone provide any details on this game? Looks like the girls in Black better have their game face on next weekend!

Yes much inprovement by the dos girls and great parents to,ESA had control of the game ,but just could not buy a goal, i never seen so many great shots, better luck next time. :mrgreen:
