The ECFC guys just couldn't find the net in the 1-1 tie.  Chances were 10-1 but no polished finishing.  Problem solved before rematch.

i watched about 25 minutes of the 1-1 tie and within a spell of about 5 minutes emerald city hit the post twice and had 5 shots on goal it wasnt too one sided but once emerald city got the ball they didnt make mistakes they just couldnt finish.

I think you discribe ECFC totaly Henry and others. They hit the post alot. they move the ball really well, just no finish where they need it. i bet that will come with time though. Hopefully for them it will happen soon.

Sparta played them well in the first game, i didn't see the second game but i've received several accounts. in the first game DJ Drevitch was a dynamo. he doesn't even beat players he just thwarts conventional defensive schemes by virtue of speed that doesn't seem hindered by the ball at his feet.

I agree DJ is awesome on the field. Fun to watch him zip through, good foot skills too, watch out or he will make mince meat out of yoru defense.

hmm... in that game as i remember the initial shots didn't hit the post. They were actually fairly well placed, near post shots that had a good pace to them, but that sparta keeper is a machine and incredibly good looking and made some great saves to keep them out. barely... but still out. Also, that sparta Midfielder K-nuds absolutely CRUSHED DJ. it was tight.
