Two strong teams that are ranked high in my "top 15".  YYSA is out of Yakima and the Tri-City Lighting is a real strong tournament team out of Tri-Cities..played in the Crossfire Challenge and did well.

I was thinking more that the Timbers would be lowered in the polls. They have not beat the Crush, they spilt with the undefeated Royals and the FC Vancouver team has dominated them. Why do the Timbers keep getting rated so high and the Xplosion keeps getting ranked lower?

Lack of exposure and inconsistancy in Summer Tournaments.  Even though they've done well againt the Timbers, they didn't get exposed to many D1 & D3 team tournaments.  Timbers got lots of exposure and did well when they needed to,  big wins to good teams and good performances when they lost to good teams.  As you see, I've got them ranked high now and anything can happen in the next 2-3 weeks.

I saw all four games the Timbers played against FC Crush and the Royals.  They split with the Royals...one game in Portland they were outplayed and beaten 1-0 and earlier at Rainier Challenge, they tied 1-1 after 80 minutes and merely scored one more PK then the Royals.    However, against the Crush...they were beaten soundly 4-0 and 3-0.

Sounds like the Timbers do not match up well agianst the Crush. :(

Wonder how they would do now against them

Crusher

Maybe you can answer, is Crush team that played this summer the exact same as the current team?

Thanks
