In my family it is tradition that we get to open one gift tonight before we go to bed..... As I have 3 brothers we get to choose a gift for someone else.... LOVE IT!!!!

Do you open a gift the night before?

I guess I am the first no vote :oops: .  With both my kids having their birthdays in December, they tend to get spoiled by everyone throughout the month. We have never opened a present the night before Christmas. They happily wait til the morning. ;)

When I was growing up we were allowed to open one present the night before. As a kid, I never thought it was a big deal to do so. I would have waited til Christmas as well. ;)

As a small Egg we would open all presents on the Eve and stockings in the AM. As a Hard Boiled Egg I make the DD and DS wait until the AM to open gifts. Although, they get to open their new PJ's on the Eve.

When I grew up the only present opened the night before were the new PJ's that the "elves" left on our bed and that tradition still goes on with DD and DS  :D  :D................... (although I think they both have caught on) :cry:  :cry:

We do one gift on Christmas Eve.  It is always P.J.'s so they can look pretty and fluffy Christmas morning   :mrgreen:  They seem to enjoy it  :mrgreen:

Get to open one at Annual Family Xmas Eve get together (around 40 people last night)!! :D   Santa "brings" gifts for DDs/DSs ages 0-13...white elephant gifts for ages 14 and up!!  Big fun!!! :lol:

I'm with you on this one Eggy. The kids have always had one present to open Christmas Eve, and it's always PJs. That way Christmas morning all the kidlets had new, warm jammies to hang out in while ma and pa tried to wake up. And they got free rein on their stockings which have lots of little gifts in them along with some healthy snacks.
