Do you think a coach should talk to parents and DD's or DS's about playing time come Cup Time?

Yes, of course.  Several players who rcvd playin' time during the season do not typically get as much during the cup...some times they may play in a game and not get any!

This always comes to a shock to the CP's, in my opinion.  That is why a coach must bring it up prior to let the DD's and CP's know that it is possible... it is also a very good indication if you are informed of this that you DD is a bubble player

You mentioned in another post that some players or one player was planning on moving to another team prior to State Cup, has this happened?  What team gained and which one lost out? U12G of course. :)

Crush

This team does very well on the ground, but are week in the air.  Also do not see them win a lot of "50/50" balls.  Much too slow to the ball.  If they do not hustle, they are easily beaten.

Crossfire Porter

This team does well in the air, and on "50/50" balls, but rely too much on being first to the ball.  Very suseptable to teams that control the ball well or out hustle them.

Eastside

This team does well on defense, has very low GA average and has beat Xfire more then once.  But cannot always rely on a "good goal" to do the job, need's to consistantly find a way to score.

NWN Red

This team is a very skilled team from player 1 though 11.  Sometimes see a little too much "individualality" come out though, and that can hurt them.  If they are forced to play 1v1 and not as a team, they can be beat.

ESA

This team has a solid defense, but is relying only on 1 girl to score. Several players can score, but confidence level is not there yet.  Needs to pick up the offensive power, or shutting down 1 kid will do them in.

Columbia Timbers Red

This team relys too much on "physical play", they pass well and have good speed, but have to realize that not all teams will be easily knocked off the ball as others.  If they rely only on physical and not skill they all posses, they can be beaten.

WPFC

This team and EFC are the closest to eachother.  Very solid defense and also has a top notch goalie.  But need to find a way to put one in the back of the net on a consistant basis.  Shut down their mid field and there is no way to get the ball forward.

Hope that what you lookin' for ;)

again, no mean to upset anyone, just a CP's opinion

That would be a hat given to D by his old friend.  It is not the prettiest hat, or the cleanest hat...but wear if often.

Have had several ladies try and stop D at the traffic light to try and pick D up wearing that old thing, so consider it D's good luck charm
