Hard ta rank teams or notice teams that no show at many tournaments Blue.

When they do show up and they no play it top brackets hard ta place them wit teams playin at the highest level :? :? :?

Mufasa took great time and effort to evaluate ALL teams regardless of where they from or what club they with. So, barkin up wrong tree iffin your team no get noticed :|

Actually- I was agreeing w/ ya' javascript:emoticon(':?').  That was exactly my point.  I think it's impossible to rank the SW Wa teams, if they don't go to the Northern tournaments.  Also, if they go and don't play in top brackets.  So see? We agree. I believe only FCV Courage, Timbers Navy and Royal, and HB White have done this.  FCV Courage has shown well, Timbers have done well in several of these tourneys, and HB White did well at the Eagles tournament, and none of those teams play down in the lower brackets. Anyway.... it's all good. I like your predictions for the most part- I was just predicting a different outcome for that match-up.

I just chime in from time to time for the teams that I no people on, that I know are underestimated- and, to agree w/ you, for good reason- some of the teams like the element of surpisejavascript:emoticon(':D')

Soccerfanblue-Did you not follow what Dragon tried to clarify, by "put down" I was referring to the rankings. And who said anything about D-5 teams, I was talking about HB White.

Deke, I looked at the standings before I typed. I factored in W's for Furasi over Evergreen and Silver Lake over CrossFire, thus putting the HB White in the thick of things----jeez.

And I would have to say that bracket B looks to be the toughest due to how deep it is. Based on standings, goals for and agaisnt it appears that there are some brackets with rec. teams.

Tension runs high when things heat up, dont' theyjavascript:emoticon(':)')
Pops- I definitely followed what Dragon was trying to clarify- I'm a bright guy  javascript:emoticon('')  And I just wanted to point out that I was affirming the comments of "2 cents", not disagreeing w/ the rankings, etc.     He just directed a comment my way, and I wanted him to understand that my comment was meant to 'affirm' a previous post.  I spoke more to D5 as a whole in my comment, because the topic by 2 cents was that is was hard to comment on/predict/rank teams that no one gets to see (which would implicate many of the D5 teams, not just the HB teams).  Boy, you were'nt lying when you said you were a fanjavascript:emoticon(':P'). And, on that note....I hope they do well too.

D5 is doing good, but it is a long way from being over.  Especially in knockout play.  I have seen a couple of games and just wondered what the deal is.  I think the past weekend the weather had a lot to do with the outcomes.  I hope that this weekend's weather will not be a factor and the game of soccer determines who moves on and who gets ready for try-outs, not the weather.

From what I can see there are 8 positions out 16 up for grabs.  That is quite a few and should make for some great games.

I think that the teams that are playing must win games have the advantage going into knockout play, at least for the 1st weekend.  They have already experienced the emotions that come into play in a must win situation.

I just hope all the teams play hard and most importantly have fun.

Wow, things are heating up for my 2nd favorite district 5 team, the HB White. All year  they were put down on this site, not even reaching the top 100. Looks like all they are doing is playing in the toughest bracket and right there in the thick of things. I have seen them play 3 times, play agaisnt their coach, I doubt if they will play conservative, not their style. But you never know what can happen on a snow covered field.
One thing I think we all can agree on, they have proven is that no one on this site will ever make a living doing soccer rankings

You so funny. Glad ta see Mufasa's rankings no please everyone. How boring would that be???

Anyone know the update with Glory/NWN? There is no report so I am assuming Glory lost. Starting to look like they came in 4th in their bracket, behind the HB Maroon????? Waiting for the marketing spin on this one.
Congrats to HB White, Crush, and Fire. Let everyone know when your games are so we can support COWTOWN.
Big Cat. A few months back I made mention about the HB White, I always liked their style, and goalie

No offense Big Cat :)  But.... in defense of my SW WA teams.  How do you NOT pick HB White over Silverlake? (And, I was skeptical at the start of the cup), but they beat Crossfire Stauber, and they tied Karajamulo Farasi (#1, and #2).  They tied Ev Blitz, (on a day where nobody should have been playing anyway, and a lesser team might have come forward and won).  Not to take away from Silverlake, but is this a Seattle bias? :)
Let me correct this now.  Silverlake is a great technical team.  They ended up in a 3-3 tie w/ the HB white team, and from what I heard  (through the grapevine) it was a hard fought game on both sides.  I now see why you might have picked Silverlake over HB White (having never seen them play).  Great game.

Now, off to analyze the Challenge cup.  (You covered the rest of the SW Wa teams to my liking- ha ha)

There is no spin.  This is a "No Spin Zone".  The Glory has nothing to be ashamed of.  They played their hearts out and gave it their all.  The ball just did not go into the net.  That is soccer.

At the end of the game they had their work horses on the field and they were all U-10.  With some additioal talent that they will draw from other clubs, they have a very bright future.

NWN played a very sound game and it would have a been a 0-0 tie, but Glory went for the win knowing a tie would not help.  Best of luck to the ladies.  I know they will have HB-White the first game.  Should be a good one.

To be honest I think that was probably the best thing for them.  I know when my DD came home from the game one of the things she said, "Next year we need to take it more serious".  That is pretty sound advice coming from a 9 year old.  They know what they accomplished and know what they have to improve upon.  The girls that make the team in a 4 weeks as true U11ers will come with a very different perspective than they did this year.  This was an awesome experience for them all.

Good luck to the teams stil in it.
