There are folks in Bellingham who were on the Whatcom Rangers driving to NWN now.  DD may be doing that in the future.  1.5 to 2 hours each way.  Bring the homework.

We drive 2 to 3 minutes, sometimes it might take 7 to 8 minutes, :D

Well, this past year we had a drive that if done on the weekend is only about 10 to 12 minutes as well, but during rush hour in mid-week it can be over 30 minutes if you are unlucky and choose the wrong path that happens to be backed up.

Go the back way like I do!   LOL

Yes, but there are only so many ways to get across the river.  ;)

Well, if all the girls were there on time and the coaches were missing (caught in traffic), as a CP how would you feel about that?  If we expect the coach to always be there on time, then I think the players should be as well.  Seems to me the kids that are late for practice all the time will be the same ones that learn this is acceptable and grow up thiinking it's okay to be late for work and other things too (blaming it on bad traffic).     On my sons past teams I've know kids to be late for their pre-game warm ups because parents just had to make that stop at Starbucks before heading to the field.  Just remember, kids absorb everything.

If I was the coach and a kid was always late, they would indeed find themselves on the bench.  Not the kids fault, but maybe the parents will get the message.

As a "single CP" most of the time, I am the only one to get my kids to practices/ games. This is really bad when both DD's have practice near the same times in different areas. Both coaches have been very understanding.

that can be tough, kudos for you for going the extra mile (no pun intended) to get your kid-lets to practices. I know from experience how difficult it can be just to get them there . If you throw in an ex who fights your every move it get's triple difficult. And the rewards for all your extra effort take years or even decades to appear, but you're doing the right thing, good on you mate.
