I got a problem. :| I have gnats growin' by thousands in one of my pots There is a 1032 of you here. :lol: There should be a solution.

Change the dirt. Make sure to throw away the old stuff or you'll just breed more gnats

You can try a spray bottle with water and dish soap... spray the plant and then put a little dish soap in the dirt and run water through it.......
However.......... I just change the dirt. Its easier and quicker.

I finally got rid of that pesky robin. :mrgreen: He moved to the neighbors house. :mrgreen: Funny to sit in my living room and see him fly into their window. :mrgreen: They are not the nicest people so it kind of makes me laugh. :twisted: But I feel sorry for the bird. :cry:
However... last weekend a coyote came for a visit to my backyard.

I have a fenced yard except for the back end... its all green belt so never put the fence because its pretty. :mrgreen: Dogs cant get out because I have a rockery and then a gate keeping the dogs from getting up the hill. However... a coyote can come down the hill and jump into my yard... :shock: which he did. Luckily... my 3 little dogs were inside :mrgreen: and he didnt seem to mess with the big dog. :roll:
Anyway... my point is...... I have decided that I need a fence built in my back yard on a hill. I need 120 feet of fence. We have called a few fence companies and they either dont get back to us or are very busy.

Anyone know someone who builds fences? :?: Soon :!: :shock:

I have contacted a few fence companies with no response too. :x

Instead of a coyote we had a bobcat come through our broken fence. :shock: I was standing on the deck and there it was. Kinda scary. We do have a few coyotes that wander near the neighborhood too.

You may want to try www.ServiceMagic.com. They help find you prescreened contractors. I used them to find a house painter.

I actually got Built Rite to come out and they start next week!! Our paint is almost done as well. House is looking great!!!!

BTW... my windows have been taped up for the painters lately so that is probably why the Robin went away and stayed away. However... my back slider is uncovered now and yesterday AM he was flying into over and over.

Do you mind sharing what they will charge you? Will it be a cedar fence? The fence between my neighbor's yard and mine blew down in the wind storm and he replaced it himself. I want to go over there an offer to help pay, but I'm not sure what the cost is these days for installing cedar fence per linear foot. If you don't mind sharing their estimate, that would be great! I'll understand if you would rather not.

Yote can build one major cedar fence and my arbor (clear grade cedar) is second to none... :mrgreen:

GD.. I just saw your note... they wanted $3000 to build 120 feet of fence. Then they decided they didnt want to do it because its on a hill. :roll: But we have it handled.

On another note.....
The Robin flew into his last window. He had moved to the neighbors house while mine was being painted. But he soon returned.
Then a couple days ago, I noticed he was not around. Found him tonight in a flower bed just below the window. DEAD!

Do I dare re-wash my windows??? Last time I did that... the Robin showed up! :shock:
