How about a nice Christmas Classic,  I Saw PvMS take out Santa Claus..........

I saw PvMS take out dear old Santa Claus,
underneath the Christmas tree such a sight,
Santa stated EFC was the weak link,
in boys u14 State Cup with a wink,
PvMS went ahead and put Santa
out on his feet with a left then a right.

When I saw PvMS blind side dear old Santa Claus,
I thought old St. Nick might be all right,
Oh, what a fight we might have seen,
If Babefabulousmommysoccer had only been,
with PvMS smashing Santa Claus last niiiiigggghhhhttttt.

EFC Pink 2 Dynablow 0 - hmmmmm......I hear a song come to mind.....

Is it from Queen?  Another one bites the dust?

NO, I won't bore you with that - but do know that the right team won today.  Dynamo had 2 real chances all game, a scrum in front of the box off a corner and a botched definisive move that almost went one on one with the goalie.

EFC looked great off the bat, moving the ball from side to side, passing it around.  Had some great opportunities first half, hitting crossbar, in front of goal -hitting it over the top etc.  Probably 5 quality opportunities.  Second half EFC was a little flat and Dynamo took advantage but never capitalized on anything and no threats.  With fifteen minutes to go, EFC scored, then scored shortly after.  By then the Dynamo looked dejected and EFC had another 3 really good opportunites.  Dynamo goalie made a great save to keep it close.

Eddy - looks like the creme does rise to the top - you were right about that.  Unfortunately, fifth place probably wasn't what you had in mind        :(

One last note:  I am not sure why, but EFC is rarely mentioned at the top by others, last year they won their division (in arguably the toughest by P1 and P2 teams), and was a State Finalist.  This year with two major injuries (no excuse - just a fact) they remained competitive and will most likely end up third in the State during league play - ahead of both ECFC, Dynamo and Snohomish.  I believe that with a healthly roster from the get go, their record would have been even better than what it ended up at...They tied FCU, were 3 minutes from tying Xfire and have beaten both Dynamo and Snohomish.....

Everyone is always biased to their team, what's the deal?   :?:

I don't think people are biased at all. The early injuries and sputtering may have cost them respect is all.

I think the yare big, fast, and physical. Haven't seen them play in awhile, but the added passing will only make them better!!!

Every dog has it's day, and today EFC had their day.  EFC controlled the first half and 0-0 at halftime,  frankly the Dynamo carried the game almost the entire 2nd half and had opportunities yet can't make the extra necessary pass.  EFC scored with 9min left and another one right before the final whistle.  Game much closer than score indicated.  EFC put in it in the net with two very ugly goals, but you take what you can.

The AR's were excellent today, the referee was less than avg at best,  whatever game he was "watching/refereeing" was a game  most knowledgable soccer fans are not familiar with.  Fortunately none of his calls or lack thereof directly resulted in a goal.  But it was very poorly officiated from the my vantage point with both teams.

This game EFC had their full squad and the Dynamo missing three and one very big one,  I hope we play EFC in State Cup, because after what I saw today,  the Dynamo will beat them.  EFC knows they didn't play the top Dynamo team today, and they still barely won..  So let's play again another day with everybody on board, and it will all be over but the shouting.

The Dynamo are in a valley and it was apparent at the Heat game and very apparent  today,  their passion/drive is gone.  Their sense of urgency is non-existent in close games. This team has to play hard and physical without any let up, the entire game. They have to play like their backs are against the wall. Until they start playing this way, they will stay in the valley.   They have some real issues to deal with or it may be an early ouster at State Cup and that will be very sad...

Not going to get much sympathy from the EFC side in regards to injuries, none from you were given to us.

regarding the officiating, I am surprised you even brought that up.  I thought that your large defender earned a yellow after earning close to 7 fouls on him alone, very handsy kid, but good.  I think your number 9 got a little mouthy and the ref called him on that as well.  I think that Dynamo out fouled EFC about 5-1 today.  The actualy goals weren't pretty, but were follow ups from some nice soccer leading up to the goals, lots of one touch ball and crosses from both sides from EFC.

Dynamo's right mid did a good job trying to get crosses off from feeds from midfield but nothing came from the left side.

Game looked more like a 4-0 win, so I agree with Eddy, the score doesn't  reflect the game.

Eastside by any means didnt barely beat NWN Eastside controled the whole game except for the first 10 min of the second half. NWN didnt have one shot on goal except a half chance on that was very easy for the keeper. By what happened today Dynamo wont beat Eastside if they do meet in state cup

Typical BS from Edmonds; Your son’s team got beat by a better team with better athletes plain & simple so just accept it & move on.

Wow! I just looked at the standings and the Dynamo are still ahead of the EFC bunch.  Let's see,  EFC defeats the Dynamo once in their lifetime 1 out of 6 or 7 games played. EFC sure are dominating,  their game was really good today best I've ever seen out them.   Yeah,  EFC was David  and they defeated Goliath.  But last I looked Dynamo still ahead of EFC.

It's a beautiful day!!!!!! ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)

Babefabulousmommysoccer thought a song may be in order,  I didn't care for Queen after all it is Christmas,  how about this,

All I wanted from Eastside was
My son to keep his two front teeth,
his two front teeth,
I see his two front teeth.

Gee, since he got away
from the Eastside game,
with his complete set of teeth,
he can say, "Merry Christmas."

All I wanted from Eastside was
my son to keep his two front teeth,
his two front teeth,
Merry Christmas everyone!
I see his two front teeth.

Today's win even made hanging the Xmas lights enjoyable, even the ones that were working in the garage but not on the tree!!  ;)   ;)
Not sure what game Eddy was watching, but the refs were on top of things all day.None of their decisions cost anyone, anything.Clean game from both sides, physical as expected, though Dynamo 's big middie and FB like to tackle (as in American football) when they can't win the ball ;)  EFC outplayed Dynamo the entire first half, controlled the pitch with crisp ball movement and had 4 golden opportunities to score in consecutive possessions but couldn't find the net. Dynamo was reeling, but held on. The 0-0 half gave Dynamo unnecessary confidence and they came out strong to start the second , moved the ball nicely at times but EFC's defense was there when they needed it. EFC knowing that this game should have been in the bag much earlier, finally scored after countless shots on goal and then cemented it with their second goal to break poor little Eddy's  heart
I said it before and I will say it again, despite all their supposed ODPers, Dynamo is a one man team and they are no better than ECFC without #17. Good luck next week against United
EFC is playing well, peaking at the right time. I wish #17 were there so that Eddy (as I predicted) would not say his classic stuff ;)
Remember, Dynamo beat EFC last time when EFC had only 10 boys playing in the second half.

Don't know what game PvMS was watching either, but one must expect the zealous EFC cheering after 7 tries, they struggle mightily but get the win.  I must say the Dynamo beat EFC at the PCC not only handily but brutally as well 4-1 early and EFC had 11boys playing then as with all the other losses.  As I stated earlier the referee made no real glaring calls to give one or the other team an huge break,  but their were two or three major non-calls; one right at the EFC 18 or just inside, a tackle from behind took out our forward #19 just getting ready to take a shot, should have been a direct or a PK depending where the foul occurred but we were on their home field and as expected no whistle,  another our outside mid was smashed from behind and the referee made no call no rather he gave EFC a free kick, there were countless people in the stands yelling homer to the referee at that point.  And it was interesting to see PvMS squirming/fidgeting at every passing minute the game remained tied, poor little PvMS's delayed trip to the men's room was getting to desperate proportions. ;)  ;)  ;) .

I am personally a bit disappointed in the game's outcome because I was so much hoping to see the Dynamo as the 4th seed in the State Cup, playing in the same bracket as FC Kitsap. The two teams have never met, but in the past, Eddie (or should it be Edie?) has always assumed an easy win for his/her team. It would be fun to play them, even though Kitsap is a lowly P3 team (next year P2)  :D

The most acurate way to judge the difference between two teams is always the most recent game not some past tournament, a scrimage or games played one or two years ago - Todays game was really a fair test = EFC 2 NWN 0
I am not saying that NWN is a bad team they are a fairly good team but they are just not as good as some imagine them to be.

I would only add...most recent "games"  I think looking at the last few games if the yare within a  2 or 3 month period is fairly accurate. Taking the aggregate score tends to say a lot, if the matches are fairly close together.

Seems Dynamo has been hit with the injury bug, and not to give eddy and out. Anyone who has seen 17 knows he adds a lot to their team. He is a big part of everything they do. In some ways that's an issue the team may have to address, by having a few others step up and make up the difference if the ywant to have a decent state cup.

It is almost sad the way Eddy is being "picked" on today....................................NOT!

You dish it out and make all kinds of predictions you have to back it up.  I agree with Squash, it is an aggregate thing and Dynamo was a man down today and no one wants to see kids hurt.  But you have to step up and put 11 on the field whether it is your "starters" or not.  You lose and sometimes the score does not reflect the game.

This game was in that category, it was more like 3 - 0 or a 4-1 game :D

When I got home today after the whooping, I told myself not to gloat. EFC did all the talking and I actually thought that I wouldn't post...but you are so pathetic in your rants that I just could not resist. Keep living in the past on ALL the games that Dynamo has beaten EFC. Those losses were nicely erased with this must win  by EFC ;)
Face it Eddy, Dynamo had a chance to sew up 3rd and they choked  when it mattered most. That must hurt         .Actually, EFC simply outplayed them, so I am somewhat inaccurate in my assessment. Your team NEVER had a chance to choke. They were too busy chasing EFC around the pitch.
Yup, EFC struggled allright, they struggled to find the back of the net on all the  open looks they were afforded , but had NO struggle moving the ball or getting their shots off against your #3 team.Score at half could have been 3 or 4-0 EFC. Probably 15-3 in shots on goal, wouldn't you say ? Although you did have a few corners to miss.I saw you pacing and yelling,"Come on offense"...but alas, your offense was home today. And yeah, you really controlled the second half...funny, that's when EFC scored   :!:  :!:
Ahhhh, the win was oh so sweet, and your whining and excuse-making(what is it with you and refs anyway ;) ) makes it even sweeter :D  :D  :D

Quote from: "falcon"
I am personally a bit disappointed in the game's outcome because I was so much hoping to see the Dynamo as the 4th seed in the State Cup, playing in the same bracket as FC Kitsap. The two teams have never met, but in the past, Eddie (or should it be Edie?) has always assumed an easy win for his/her team. It would be fun to play them, even though Kitsap is a lowly P3 team (next year P2)  :D

Falcon;  geez they really come out of the woodwork don't they.  Glad to hear you're still in the soccer arena.  Son's a goalie if I am not mistaken,  glad to hear you're moving up in the world.

You may get what you wish for,  cause you know EFC is lookiing at the seeding today and shaking in their soccer booties.  They always take the easy/low road,  if EFC  can throw a game and get a better draw, bank on it, EFC will.  EFC always takes the easy way,  they don't want to play tough teams until the last possible moment, why you ask? Because they know they are a beaten team.    And right now the 3rd seed is a difficult path,  a path they won't take, cause they don't have to. Furthermore the Snohomish team will not beat Crossfire next Sat;  so the Dynamo may end up third, maybe fourth and you'll get your wish.   Falcon, don't be fooled by all the post game theatrics by EFC, Dynamo did not have their "A" team out there and EFC barely won,  the Dynamo ARE the third best team in the state, we will be fully rested, healthy and loaded for EFC or Snohomish.  Both of them only won the last games between us because we were without a couple very important players, we know it and more importantly they know it full well too.  They won't beat us again.  State Cup will prove it.  I hope we play you, so you get what you want for Christmas.

a barely won game would be a 1 nil scoreline both Eastside and Snohomish won 2 nil which is a very good score. NWN is not even close to third best in the State if they were they would have gotten to the semi's. Who cares if u missing some players you cant use that as an excuse. You have 11 players so u have to get on with it
