>>> Caesars GU-11 Top 10 #7 <<<
« on: July 30, 2007, 01:53:16 PM »

This is how Caesar is see'in the 96'ers @ end of July  ....
"There's a new sheriff in town!"   X-Fire Barton defeats EFC Red 2-1 @ Crossfire Challenge Semifinal game and earns the #1 spot in the state. :D  I expect this to be a back and forth battle for many months! ;)  Two very good & talented teams!

1. Crossfire Barton (+1)
2. EFC Red 96 (-1)
3. FWU Reign Purple (0)
4. WPFC Black* (0)
5. ECFC Green 96 (0)
--------------------------------------------
6. HSA Eagles Krage (0)
7. FC Crush 96 - Sky (0)
8. FCV Glory (0)
9. NWN Red 96 (0)
10. Westsound FC Reynolds (0)
10. Harbor Duffy (0)

Caesar being conservative on his rankings and not making any adjustments except for the top two. Too many teams idle this past weekend. (head to head)
Crush and Glory play #1 X-Fire Barton (XB) extremely close and deserve mention but no win - no move up.

Crossfire Challenge:
XB,EFC,Glory & Crush all play in X-fire challenge.
XB beats EFC  2-1
XB beats Crush 1-0
XB Ties Glory 1-1
Crush beats Glory 1-0

This just proves that we have some very competitive teams @ GU-11 and we're in for some very good soccer for a very long time! On any given day these teams can surprise each other

Next big tournaments on Caesar's radar are Bigfoot (where 3 of the Top 10 will face-off + Saprissa ;) ) and the Chinook Cup (where 5 of the Top 10 will go at it). Expect some up/down movement. Then on to league play

Summer is just flying by

Don't forget the Blast Off

I know it's only a jamboree but you have some top teams playing against each other in the "A" Bracket in Federal Way.  Harbor will finally get their chance to show a few more folks why they should be in the top ten.

1  FWSA - FWU Reign 96 Purple
2  TPCJSA - WPFC 96 Black
3  TPCJSA - Harbor FC 96
4  NYSA - FC Alliance Gold

Unelss it's changed, Blast Off is not jamboree style but is done tournament style. The WPFC U-11 teams have gone to this tournament each year and won for the past, like, 5 years I think. It will be fun to see if they do it again.  I think the Reign will have something to say about that  :D

When I say Jamboree style I mean you don't play anyone else other than the teams in your bracket.  7 or 8 brackets and the top two teams from each bracket play each other again for the champs of their bracket.  I would consider that a morphed jamboree/tourney; perhaps a Jamtourney.

I agree.  Hoping to catch quit a few games this weekend.  I have my schedules out and am already planning what fields I'll be at and at what times.  Have to plan ahead to make sure I catch the most games possible.

From down south and a new one to this....Be kind! Haven't seen many games but heard good things from old friends about Reign and Harbor "A" teams.  Heard only loss all 2007 for Cross Fire was a scrimmage near the South Center Mall by SeaTac Airport against the team from Tacoma? Have a young one playing in a lower bracket (GU11) and we are looking forward to it!
Fun site! Thanks everyone!
