Recaps of games? POST THEM HERE!
« on: August 09, 2007, 01:56:09 PM »

don't know if you have posted a recap post yet but we just watched a game down here in ca.
the WPFC U12 team played the pleasanton (sp) Rage in a scrimage and they won 2-1 :D
We missed the first few minutes of the game and it was allready Rage leading 1-0. From what i saw the WPFC team dominated the rest of the game and had at least a dozen quality shots on goal, with 2 of those going in for the victory :!:
Hope to watch more of the "uberteam" play this week.  Our first game is not untill friday morning :D

We had a fun first day yesterday in SF at the Wharf at Bubba Gumps!!!!
Our first game is tomorrow at 1:30 against the Cal. North State Champs. Should be a good one!!!  GO WPFC BLACK!

hahaha first time for every thing i guess.
Crush just lost ot Barcelona 0-3!  taking nothing away from the other team, but it was one of our teams flatest games they ever played.  the other team scored 1st on a corner kick, straight in the goal with no one touching the ball.
crush out shot the other team 6-2 in the 1st half but were down 0-1.

second half they score on a corner kick that was deflected towards the goal, our goalie stoped the ball on the line and stood up.  the AR calls goal kick, but the ref runs up from about 35 yards away and calls a goal?  kind of strange but oh well.  the crush had 9 more shots on goal in the second half, barcelona had 3 shots on goal.  1 from the corner 1 from a free kick and a goal on a cross with less then a minute left on the clock.
Overall crush had 15 shots to 5, but they made them count and we did not.
I think it will be a great lesson for our team and players not to overlook any team and to try and bring your A-game to every match.  I Think they will all remember this lost for a while :D

the game on the other field was SanJaun Spirit vs the Dallas sting royals. (they are the biggest team i have ever seen in my life, there shortest girl is still around 5'6'' hahahaha)  the big dallas team scored with a minute or so left but it was called off sides. game ended 0-0 and sanjaun thought they won the superbowl hahaha  great finish for the spirits by getting the tie, Dallas is heavly favored to win the tourny.
will write more later after our next game against dallas :D

I just noticed that 11 points were awarded to a few teams in that tournament & thought it must be a typo. Looks like they grant points for goals, up to 4!  That is a first for me. I wonder what the logic is???

West Coast better, but not 5-0 better. Maybe shoulda been 3-1.
EFC had chances and gave up weird own goal. Red dominated possession for first 10 minutes, but WC gots lotsa speed, very athletic and very very deep.

Evergreen loses 1-0 to All-Universe Surf Cup winner SoCal Blues. Gotta be proud wit dat result. Evergreen D really, really tough. Way ta go, posse.

Mufasa no report on WPFC but let Uberpeeps do it. Stickin to facts...1-0 at half and stayed dat way.

Good showing for first outing in da pressure cooker. Way ta go, WA 95s!

WPFC 95 lost a hard fought battle tonight to San Diego Surf 1-0.
WPFC has played two of the best teams out there and kept the scores 1-0.  They played much better in their second game. It was a good game.
This is a very tough bracket!!!!!!!!
They play Bay Oak Bombers tomorrow . Hoping to go home with a win.

EFC victory against the host 96s not as close as the score would indicate.

WPFC and Evergreen losses were that close.

Everybody crashin 'now.

Mustang 95s-

Eastside Red comes up on short end of 1-0. Well played. Red had lots ta grouse about, like goal waived off in 1st for no apparent reason, and SC goal maybe kinda sorta probly shoulda been offsides...

Last game for us today, against sj spirits of california.  we went into the game looking to have 1 good game to look back on.  the spirits went into the game wanting to beat us 4-0 so they could hopefully tie the dallas team for the bracket lead.
well the crush came out and played very controlled and good soccer in the first half and about 10 minutes into the game scored off a nice cross that resulted in a header.  crush 1-0.
2nd half the spirit team appeared to be desperate not to be beaten and played hard as they could shooting balls over the top to try and get a goal.  it worked and they tied it up 1-1.  the rest of the game it was pretty equal and finished 1-1 tie.   The parents were very nice and complemented the team on there play and being the only team in the tourny to score on them.
next stop starfire :D
time to drink, swim, drink, and then drink some more hahahahah
pool time! :D
