Would love some recaps from da Rimland!
If you CP's don't wanna post at least send it in a PM fo D to post
OK.. finally have access to the computer. Saw lots of game over the last 2 days. First, would have loved to see Rimland Cup officials break up U13 the same way they did U14, Premier and Copa.. Not just for the teams that got beat, but I am sure teams like Reign went up there for competitionthe whole weekend, not just the semis and finals... (Just my opinion of course)
OK.. FIrst game Friday night- rematch of Diadora cup game Pacific Premier Rd vs EFC White. Diadora- EFC Wins- this time PP came out on top. 1st half ended in 0-0 tie. It was definitly a game our girls could have won..... however late in the 2nd half PP puts one in, and although EFC fought hard, they had another one go in... game ends 2-0 PP Red. They did play a much better, more organized game than the last 2 times I have seen this team play.
Second Game- Reign V EFC WHite... Well.. I think the girls were intimidated and they let it show on the field. Reign is much improved over years past and will be a contender this year.. EFC was able to turn it on the last 10 minutes of the game... to bad they didn't do that earlier... Let's just say Reign wins this one.
Final Game- Harbor White V EFC White.... Rematch of a friendlier earlier in the year. Neither team had yet to score in this tourney. EFC came into the game with a fire they ended the Reign game with. This time they kept the momentum up the entire game. EFC had plenty of opportunities in the 1st half, was able to put 1 away, half end1-0. 2nd half. Harbor tried fighting and had some great shots.. our goalie had some great saves.. EFC was hungry for more. Many more shots on goal that just went wide.... .. they were able to make things happen..just not find the net again. Also, Harbor's goalie made some great saves in the 2nd half, Game ended 1-0.
Don't mind my dd and her team going up against tough and better teams.. it will only make them better... just think it would have been better overall for all teams going to split the divisions... That being said most likely 2 of the 3 teams in her group would have been in her division anyway...
saw lots of other games.. but will post those later.. Must just say WPFC White 93 is starting to look like the team that made it to the finals in the Challenge Cup last year. Finished bracket play 3-0 against ECFC White, Mukilteo Lightning and Spokane Shadow 8 goals for 0 against...
