I wonder how many people will stop tomorrow and focus where we were a few short years ago on 9/11.  It seems like year after year goes by and less and less is mentioned about that terrible day that not only affected our lives in the greatest of negativity (terrorism), but also was the greatest example of what makes our country so great.  Sure the terrorists entered our lands and affected many hundreds of lives with their evil deeds and many of those families still search and grasp for understanding and live with the despair daily.  But others from the firefighters, police force, searchers at ground zero, military and even our politicians were heroes in many eyes.  The way our country came together to support, lend aide, a friendly smile, a flag waving, a sign on the car can never be forgotten.  We were proud to be Americans for the way we stood up to that evil day.  Lets not let that day ever be forgotten and I ask that tomorrow, you take time in your busy schedule to somehow remember what you were doing that day, say a prayer for those affected and give hope that we as Americans will always stand together during good times and bad.  I love this country and I believe for what we stand for in the world and know that a land of freedom comes with many privaledges and benefits.  But we can never forget our history as that is what has formed this great nation.

I'm putting a bunch of small American flags all over my yard, and hanging my big US flag at half mast in remembrance.

How could we forget the day the world stood still?
Seeing the faces of extreme grief on TV, hearing the cries of loved ones that lost a friend, a husband, a sister, a mother, a brother.
Watching those brave souls try and save hundreds more only to lose their own lives.
I say a prayer to those that are still affected by this.
I say a prayer that this will NEVER happen again.
I say a prayer for us that we shall never forget that day.

We must never forget what these people did to us. Innocent women, children, dads, husbands, wives, grandmothers and grandfathers who's only crime was booking passage on an airplane. Their lives were taken from them, and their lives were taken from us by criminal radicals with no concern at all for human life. They are animals, no sentient being wontonly destroys human life.

Imagine the terror of those who drew the death card by stepping onto a US airplane that day. What was their crime ? Being born an American ? What loving, gracious god decrees the annihilation of those who don't subscribe to that god's word ?

Scum is too good a word to describe these people. Seconds after impact they knew the truth. That there wasn't harem full of virgins awaiting them, but God asking them what they were thinking in the wanton killing of thousands of His children, and how did they prefer their room temperature, blisteringly, flesh melting hot, or agonizingly eyeball popping hot.  Welcome to martyrdom.

Unfortunately as a human I want vengeance now, and His vengeance later.

I will never forget, ever.
