I like seeing Cascade in the top 20.  Lots of speed and a great defensive team.

My team to keep an eye on is the DEVO Eaglettes.  Undefeated in the gold emerald division of district 3, they beat Stengrund 2-0 over the past weekend.   :P

Future game of the week will be october 20th Synergy vs. Crush.  This game SHOULD be a good indication on how accurate Ceasar's rankings are for both teams.

HOMER has heard great things about the Crush and their surgical style of play, picking teams apart with their set plays and big boots.

I can undestand where the Tyrant is comming from.  Until Glory plays top tier teams, they have not prvoven anythng yet.  Thanks for your support though :D

I just hope the PDL gets it right and puts them with the best of the best and we will see how things pan out. ;)

Zactly Just4 .... Caesar very high on the patriotic girls ... wrestled with not putting them higher but till they clash with NWN / Eagles / EFC / Barton girls (again) I think I got 'em placed just right.  I know they tied Barton girls at the X-fire, even scored the goal for Barton, (saw that game) but they need to prove they're worthy of a top 3 ranking .... they very well may be the best GU11 team in the state
PROVE IT! :D

Who gonna win the Challenge cup? ..... hmmmmmm ????????????? ;)

Those rankings look nothing like the standings. I have to say no to Crossfire at #1 in this case......shoot me

IMHO they're the one's to beat .....
They're top of PDL1-A bracket 1 and they're GF / GA / GD is second only to Glory (who are #1 in bracket 2) .....
They be #1 until someone knock em off their perch ....  ;)

Let's see what happens within the next 2 weekends.

The first month of ball is over and many teams have gotten their "feet wet" in the PDL and District.  I feel that this upcoming month is where you are going to see what teams are going to respond to the competition and step it up and which teams are going to struggle with consistency..

Reign, Crush, Eagles, and EFC are my teams to look out for.  For me, these are the teams that can make WAVES within the next few weeks.

I would have to say the PPFC Red is getting close if not broke in the top 20.  They won 4 tournaments and got in the finals in 5 tournaments this summer.  They do not get much press because  they are in a new club that is not in the PDL yet.

Are you referring to Pacific Premier???  Aren't they in District 1?  Give us all some info on this team; what tourneys have they won who do they play in league and that sort of thing.  Spread the word.  I'm going out on a limb and guessing the tourneys they have entered are NOT upper echelon tourneys.  This may be a big reason why they aren't in the 20.

PPFC is Pacific Premier. Yes, the tournaments were not top notch but, they did win championships at the Lake Stevens Bash, Skagit Labor Day Kick, Thusc, and a finals at Skagit Sims Honda that I know of. I watch them play against Saprissa and it was a well played game this last weekend and ended up a 2-2 tie with PPFC leading most of the game. They have scored 16 goal and gave up 2 this year so far. It will be intresting how they do in the state tournament.

I know Saprissa pretty well. My dd's team played them in the Starfire Labor Day Tourney. They pass and play very well.  That being said I wouldn't consider them a top 20 team.

I honestly think your team is being overlooked due to their tourney entries.  Lots of teams do very well in mid level tourneys but struggle in league play.  Not saying your team is struggling at all or will struggle.  Another item to look at is how many top teams have you played?  Losing to eastside and xfire in a tourney can be more respectable then beating lessor competition.  Not trying to put anyone down, just letting you know where I think folks are coming from with their rankings.

Good question Just Me-

Really a pretty simple answer ....

Caesar look at:
1) Performance: wins/losses against quality teams (tournaments and league play)
2) Caesar's opinion - especially if I've seen 'em play!
3) Intelligence from Caesar's Legion - Caesar can't possibly get around to all games - all districts

Remember .... these are Caesar's picks .... Caesar's opinion .... you are always welcome to agree or disagree!
One of the great outcomes of the "rankings" is the blah blah that follows. It's a forum to voice opinions and spotlight a team that may be overlooked or over-rated! .... quite honestly, the 96'ers have been a little weak in this area
So join in and be heard! (everyone!) .....

Caesar has thick skin ... iffin you think I blew it say so! If you think there is a team that needs to be considered .... let us all know!

As I was saying you have to play the best to be considered one of the top teams.

As for #2 relying on intelligence from crazy parents??? DOH!!!

HSA Eaglettes win another game down in Gold Emerald, same division as Stengrund.  Eaglettes are undefeated AND defeated Stengrund 2-0 a few weekends ago.  Keep these little ones on your radar for a top 25 if they're not already.   :D
