I talked with her yesterday and she informed me she got a call from the US Youth Soccer people. She was invited to the U-15 National Team camp being held in Carson, California.

October 22nd-29th

Congrats on being one of about 24 girls to be invited to the camp from around the US.

Oh and I hope this is what you meant by I could tell anyone. I'm definitely proud of you.

Elizabeth,
Congratulations!  That is such an awesome accomplishment!  I'm certain your teammates, coach, club and parents are extremely proud of you!

I hope you have a great experience!  I also hope you'll write an article about this experience, as you did previously.  It was a inspiration to a 10yr old girl I happen to know!

Striker don't worry about Elizabeth writing another article. I'm positive she will, in fact I'll ask her today. I think we'll have her stick to just the camp itself, and maybe a tiny bit on preparing for it.  ;)

I pretty sure I can 100% commit her to it now. Okay done she'll do it.  ;)

LOL! I wouldn't presume to ask her to distract herself from the task at hand!  However, on that boring plane ride home, or some other time when convenient, I'm certain there are many that would be inspired by her success!

Glad to hear you already committed her to the article-hope she had a choice!!!  LOL

No Striker honestly I know she enjoys doing them, and journals all of her trips. I'm positive she'll want to, because it's how she is. Oh and YES, I did answer for her.

Oh and I know she'd like to thank a particular boys team that she practices with as much as 3 times a week. Who have for over a year now accepted her and helped push her to a higher level. The team knows who they are, and they have helped make her dream possible.

Hat's off to any team and coach that is flexible enough to allow other players to practice w/ them.  It seems that could be of enormous benefit if that became more widespread in teams/clubs.

I  think it's pretty cool for the boy's team to have accepted her and pushed her.  Must be a little like scrapping on the practice field w/ your sister....no mercy because she's your sister,
but  you're sure proud when she's a success on game day!

And I know one boy who worked harder because she worked out with that team, but now that he isn't there misses the competition she presented him...   Oh and Congrats to Ebeth, that's a great accomplishment
