That way we can all stay home and drink hot totties (whatever those are).

You make a HOT TOTTY by Heating your  brandy until warm, pour into a coffee mug and add a lemon wedge.  OR SO I'VE BEEN TOLD  [/quote]

most brandy toddies, aka 'hot toddie', has tea, lemon, honey and brandy.

I much prefer hot buttered rum, mmmmmmm

Would love to enjoy and have Hot Totty's  BUT dd has league game in Puyallup Sat. at Noon.

And heard that I-5 is still going to be closed on Sat.

Need to get ideas for SAFE travel from Couve to Puyallup -

Any alternate freeways, highways, or byways??    NOT to include Yakima if possible :x   Welcome any suggestions.

the Amtrak line is down but it may be possible to get most of the way here since the mudslide I heard of was in the Couve. Unknown how the rest of the tracks are. Or you could go Horizon shuttle. Other than going via Yakima or going Olympia to the coast and down I think your options are 2; slim and none.

i will check it out for you.  the people here know all the back roads and I think i can safely and quickly bypass you through chehalis and centralia to re-enter I 5 at the centralia outlet mall.  I'll get back to you but you may need to reschedule.

Victory is the guy in the know about that kind of thing. I looked at working around Centralia on some back roads. Victory informed me that most all the back roads are at a lower elavation than the freeway, which is under water.

Spent the day in Chehalis today helping out.  By the end of the day they opened I5 to Harrision with a detour to Gold (both directions on this otherwise one way street caused my GPS to say "warning you are going the wrong way on a one way street) which turns into National and then Jackson Hwy.  They reload you onto 5 down by Napavine.  With all the trafic and such figure 30 -45 minutes to go about 10 miles but it beats the heck out of the Yakima idea.  I5 will be closed for a while.  At Front St it still has 6 feet of water and where the water is gone down has revealed huge holes and missing road

YOU clearly haven't seen HOMER on the tv lately.  My only concern is not getting enough calories.

I-5 just opened both ways for all traffc.  It will be one lane each way down the south bound lanes.
Got to think you may want to add some (a lot) of time to your trip.

That way we can all stay home and drink hot totties (whatever those are).

Folks, you might be getting confused with "Hotties", which is another topic altogether.

The drink is called a 'Hot Toddy', and is the booze of your choice mixed with the hot beverage of your choice (in the proportions of your choice).
Come to think of it, Hotties might be in the proportions of your choice as well.  8)

I'd be careful there, remember what Shakespeare said about booze:
‘It increases the desire, but it takes away the performance.’

And I don't think he was referring to soccer....
