I'd really like to see harbor make a splash and take that 2nd spot.  SOOOOOO many ties in league play tells me they're close to breaking thru.  Obviosly Xfire, Eastside have got to be favorites along with the league winner NWN's.

Look for the Eagles to try and disrupt things in their pool...  It was less than a month ago that the Eagles beat FC Crush 7-0.  Eagles have scoring power and play with a lot of energy.

Didn't FC Crush beat Xfire in their own Nike tourney in July 1-0???  Don't count them out.

(Harbor's PDL record 2/7/7) Whether they have the HP is yet to be seen. I see a tie as a loss in my book so I see a 2/14/0 record. Would love for them to prove me wrong!

Lost to Glory and most recently to Evergreen ... did not finish on a high note. Certainly have the potential .... but?

Never count them out but that was along time ago! ... fizzeled in the Starfire tourney and seem to be flat at the end of the year .... didn't you say they have a small roster (10)?

some thoughts ....

As in any pool play or tournament there WILL be one or two upsets along the way.  All I have heard about this year regarding Harbor is that they are not a team to be taken lightly and they are gaining speed.  I want to drink the Kool aid so bad

Eagles may have had a let down due to thumpin' crush.  Look for them to re focus and cause some headaches.  What kind of world do we live in where the Eagles are underdogs to get out of pool play???

FC Crush is a roster of 10.  But they blasted Cascade 5-0 and for all we know it was more.  They have a great coach and look for them to play smart use strategy to the utmost come pool play.

Gee Caesar, sorry but that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.  I guess you better redo all the standings in "your book" because every team we tied deserves a loss too,as well as any team that tied this year as far as your concerned.  Thanks for the support Syngy. Harbor is on a roll. We played toe to toe with all the "big guys" this year except two. Not all other teams in PDLA can say that. Alot of teams have lost by quite a big margin to your "best teams"  We are sure shaking our heads at your comment!

I think what the csar is trying to say is "a win is a win is a win." Come tourney time everyone looks at the Big W's.  iIt's just hard to pick teams with a lot of ties.

However I have no problem picking them because they are due. Ties tell me they are in the games and for whatever reason can't seal the deal.  Every team has had a few of those.  Harbor has scored goals and that's what I look at.

Everyone has a clean slate and if Reign or anyone else is looking past Harbor, LOOK OUT.

Harbor 1
PPFC 0
Was not able to be at the game but was able to get a recap from others. Terrible field conditions. Grass field with a ton of mud and very mushy. Harbor dominated the first half with Harbor keeper only touching the ball maybe three times. Harbor had a hard time finishing in the conditions. Balls getting stuck in the mud on shot and pass attempts.. Second half Harbor scored within the first few minutes.Harbor on the worse side of the field offensively in second half. Even quick breaks were not able to happen due to the slushy, slow field. PPFC was in Harbor's end much more in the second half.
Defense was able to hold in the rough field conditions only allowing two true shots on goal. PPFC goalie in the first half did an amazing job in the mud preventing several scoring opportunities. She was covered in mud-great effort :D

mud and swamp conditions sounds tooooo bad for a state game.  hopefully you get better luck with some field turf games later on

I know at home against WPFC we are on turf. As a matter of fact we are known to have the best U11 Turf field around :D  From what I hear if we were on turf the result would have been much different. The terrible field really slowed down the game and we are a very speedy/physical team

I saw the same thing.  I believe each club has one rep and all scores are reported to your club rep and the club rep reports the scores.

That would explain why it is taking so long to get scores in

Are both teams responsibile for reporting the scores or the home team?  I'll check with our team manager tomorrow about the error...unless someone notices before then.

Thanks!
