I got an email yesterday about this event happening and thought I'd let others know. It is a fund raiser for this one team, but the items listed are not things you can just throw away.

What:
Contribute to a greener Washington by recycling broken, old and unusable computers, scanners, screens and even televisions while helping out a group of worthy and competitive youth soccer players.

People complain about Crossfire and then also wonder how they can field so many teams and consistently do well.  They dwell on coaches, or PDL this and that, or Academy this and that.

I think an important factor to Xfire's success is events just like this one   . . .   good for the environment, good community visibility and helps raise the needed bucks.
