Tyncastle IFC Club (North)
« on: January 21, 2008, 10:23:53 AM »

Its official-

Looks like Evergreen has some defectors that have formed a new club and the timing for this club couldn't be any better. Mukilteo merged with NWN, so some of those kids will go for this club. Then  the not so succesful year for Evergreen with many angry parents and coaches will move players around.

Might be the next PDL team up North, if the rumors are true about Evegreen losing their PDL status. Mukilteo should have waited one more year instead of giving up so easy. I bet NWN gets a lot less than they thought for this deal.

Right now it looks like the GU14 team is the only team moving over. You click on their link on eteamz, which says evergreen, and it takes you to Tyncastle IFC. This is hilarious

I had heard they are going to be playing in the US Club Soccer and not through District 1 right now...at least until they have 6 teams to represent themselves per the association.  I think this is a option for those that want some variety other then what is presented.  Evergreen has upset QUITE a few people....IMO I do hope they are able to mend some of those bridges....I will be curious as to how the new people they have brought on does that though.  It still seems like in our area the old boys rule the roost so to say...but we will see.

The biggest problem I see with this club is figuring out where they are going to practice. With Evergeen having full control of Kasch and NWN taking over the Mukilteo fields, they would have a very hard time finding fields up here, especially in the winter months when lights are required. As a parent it sounds tempting, but I would be very careful on joining a new club that has limited fields. That is a hard sell, especially if you have to rent stadium fields, which are very pricey. In the end you will end up paying more than the Premier teams, who already have fields.

Of course, they should have already figured this out, hopefully. Looks like they are sponsored by Nike and Tyncastle. Must be the connection Hoggy has, who looks to make some serious dough on this. WOW

Looks like another good option for those up north. Also appears they want to start at the young ages and grow as there is nothing listed above U12.  I thought Evergreen's problem was with the coaching director (at least that's what Iheard from an Evergreen parent).  Anyone have info on this?

If this new club is not affiliated with District 1 then they are not associated with WSYSA, therefore, which league would they be playing in?  This is important to know for anyone looking at this new club.

Is Tyncastle IFC going to run a full boys and girls program at all the age groups?   What is the tie in with the European team?

From what I have heard....they will play through US CLUB Soccer....which is different then WSYSA.  On another note...NWN needs to get permission from NCYSA before using any fields within their boundries....and Evergreen does not have control over Kasch...it is done by the % of Everett residents within the club (which I believe is close to 30%) meaning that before they can schedule any time there that has to be taken into consideration...I also know that the Parks Dept is in the process of re-looking at how they are going to be doing that.  The parks want the fields filled up and if that means another club within Everett that has a higher % we could essentially see a shift in who is playing on the fields.  Given the fact that they are trying out for the club is going to put them below rec. 100% EV residents on down...I'm sure you get the picture.

I hope it works out for this new club.  Let's all spread the wealth of talent, perhaps it will spread the wealth of talented coaches also, so they're not all at just a few clubs.  It gives them choices.

I really don't get sosoccer's point, and Rock27 about "spreading the wealth". The wealth has been established for sometime in my opinion up north. The holders seem to be Snohomish, NWN, Evergreen and last year we saw Pacific Premier further north but an option.

I find this Tyncastle " International" thing more or less silly at best, or as others stated an occuptional or monetary move by individuals to make a dollar.  Very familar with several clubs up north, and not aware of such turmoil as others mention. In fact some of the additions of some of these clubs with regard to structure appear to be very positive, with some very qualified individuals.  It almost appears to me, that there is some "sour grapes" or something similar on this issue, maybe on old Silverlake disgruntled issue?

Life is good up north.

since I'm south of north, only have so many contacts.  And was contacted by a CP about their player finding a new place to play (this was prior to cup roster cutoff).  What I meant by spread the wealth is I like to see good, fair competition everywhere in the state.

To me this looks like a group of former Silver Lake coaches who are disgruntled and decided to start their own club.  I think it’s safe to assume that we will eventually see another former Evergreen (Silver Lake) coach added to their coaches list.  I’m not sure if his issues with the State regarding his questionable behavior this Summer have been resolved though.   My question is this, what does it mean to be a soccer team that is registered to US Club soccer only?  I don’t see them being sanctioned into North County.  So who will they play during the season?  Where will they practice/play?  What about State Cup, can they participate in the WSYSA state tournaments?  What about summer tournaments?   Lots of questions!

Shinedown,
I was simply stating what I had heard...I'm not supporting anything at this point....I don't think enough information is available to make a good decision on this situation.  In fact to me, it just brings up more questions.

Happy, Happy, Happy over here in PPLand.

It' to bad that once again District 1 coaches and DOC's and any other board members can't put their egos aside.  AND once again District 1 will be splitting more talent instead of working together and building State Champions. How Nice....

This is a result of the end of the merger between Evergreen and Silerlake…"I did not get my way waaaaaaaa." :x

Dragon does this sound familiar?

I must not forget  GOOOOOOOO  PPFC. :D  :D  :D  :D
