Make it as difficult as possible to change teams by holding tryouts all at the same time.
If your pretty sure you want to stay but want to test the waters now you can't.

Keeps the "loyality" intact with the team. :roll:

Maybe it's a little more sinister. Let's go for conspiracy theory.

Lock all the girls into tryouts for the teams they are already on by having all tryouts at the same time. Girls are maybe afraid to go to another club tryout cuz if they aren't at their own, mabey they lose the spot they already have!! SO, coaches run tryouts, but know that there is a girl out there that they want to bring in, so maybe leave a spot or two open cuz you just never know what's coming.

So---a week later, calls are made--YES we have a spot for you, come join our team!! BANG--made the team, never tried out, never had to. This is probably already a reality, but maybe the master plan includes a lot more "behind the scenes tryouts" than anybody is aware of.

Next, someone complains because there is a ton of player movement and their DK who didn't get a spot at tryouts, now sees the new DK getting a spot without ever showing up to tryouts. BANG---PDL writes a new rule making it OK!!

So what's the master plan??? I don't know!! I got caught up in my goofy story. :lol: :lol: :lol: DO I READ TOO MUCH OR WHAT!! :mrgreen:

US Club soccer appears to becoming the best national organisation, therfore it would make some sense for Washington Soccer to align itself with them. The Super Y league appears to be (in my humble opinion) the best national platform for the best youth club teams. Talk about an opportunity to give our kids a chance to play against the highest level of competition........ :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

like the PDL ? Granted there are differences, but the feel of each is similar isn't it ? And the SYL is rather expensive, that alone will preclude many small clubs and teams.

Pertains to PDL teams/clubs:

Howabout - if you play PDL, you will be placed for season play(Bracket a,b or c) - based on how your CLUB performed in State Cup. Not based on how that individual team performed.

So a PDL team that makes it to finals, but overall club did not perform well and earn many points for State Cup play, could be placed in lower group for season play. This will 'encourage' movement to bigger clubs, thus eventually the overall better performaing clubs will acquire players. Hence the concept - you play for a club not a team.

Even better, no more need to actually play soccer - all results, rankings and promotion/relegation will be determined by the experts in the anonymous back room (or is it at Mad Pizza?). Should make it easier for everyone, just pay your money, maybe attend some practices, and let the DoCs decide which teams get the honors. It's a "green" plan since it saves all the pollution and global warming caused by CPs driving their kids all over the state.

Master Plan -

More restrictions on PDL. The maximum number of members is established. Top 8-10 clubs - as determined by the Lords of PDL and Dave Schumacher are permanently in the PDL as the top seeded clubs. Each of the top PDL clubs is to establish affiliations (feeder system) with smaller clubs and smaller PDL clubs.

Smaller clubs are told that their players must play in PDL if they want to develop.

ODP only scouts the PDL A division. and never have to leave Mad Pizza.

Crossfire signs an affiliation deal with the Seattle MLS club.

Restrictions are developed to stop teams and clubs from participating in both USCS and PDL.

Fees go up.

Premier is abolished according to a set time table.

AND here is the Secret Special Master Plan -

Crossfire gets an automatic entry into each and every final of the State Championship Cup.

ODP is restricted by rule to members of the "elite eight".

Competitive soccer stops at Snoqualmie Pass. Secret Rule bans Eastern Washington from participating at anything higher than district play. No one informs Eastern Washigton because hicks can't read, anyway.

WYS DOC Dave Schumacher gets a raise and big increase in his expense account.

Vancouver is quietly told that if ALL their clubs combine, they will get one of the magical "elite eight" spots.

Certain individuals build and own a new hotel right next to starfire.

Elite EIght Clubs are given specific geographic areas, and suzereignity over all players and lesser clubs in those areas.

Minimum wages are established for all Coaches in PDL, ($15,000 per head coach, $6,000 per assistant coach, with a 10% escalator per year).
Any coach with a foreign accent gets a 10 % bonus, 25% if it is English.

Secret handshake is established among the paid PDL administrators and DoCs. Must use the secret handshake to get into the secret PDL Elite EIght club house. Where the beer is free.

Elite Eight teams will always have homefield advantage when playing lesser mortals.

Players must have written permission from their previous teams to tryout at any point in the future - no matter how many years down the road - or they remain the property of their old club.

The PDL Cup is established. This Trophy will be awarded to the Club Administration (Crossfire disqualified) that raises the most revenue each year. An extra 10 PDL points goes to the Club that wins the PDL Cup.

Now, I could spill some of the secrets of the SUPER-SECRET MASTER PLAN, but I am afraid that Crossfire would send assassins out my way..................... :mrgreen:
