at the end of every year, all bets are off. All alliances are done, commitment for the season is over. You have no loyalty to the coach or club, just as the club has no loyalty to you. I owe nothing to the coach, I wouldn't discuss anything with the coach other than how he ranked my kids performance over the prior year. From that info you need to make your decisions to stay or go

Like it or not. That the way it is. Thank You PDL fo changing youth soccer in WA :|[/quote]

Hey Muf, I hate to tell you this, but PDL didn't have anything to do with making the above poster's quote true. That has been the way it’s always been. At least the last ten years I've been involved in select soccer. If your DK is playing for a club who consistently competes with the top teams in the state then that is pretty much how it is.

No that no true. Use-sta be that lil club from here or there would compete and be competitive at top level.

It just club biggins that were already PDL like where you get experience yous talkin bout.

Now what lil family like club competing for state now days??? No can findem U11-U14. So, cAt continue ta give PDL big fat raspberry for changing this bout youth soccer. You no longer can be competitive wit top team without this end of year drama and the experience you talkin bout.

Exactly - vitually impossible to go back to rec. soccer after playing select/premier - maybe we'll try softball :-).....so much for player development.

But hey, at least the soccer club has the players they want, with no mess, no fuss!

Try tennis.

Many ex-Soccer players seem to do fine in tennis.   Tennis is all about going hard to the ball, good body control, keeping the ball in play, and finishing skills rank high on the must have list.  Plus you move around a lot during a match.   All stuff that is important in soccer...

Lacrosse - season just started and it's great. Really fast, always changing, many skills from soccer cross over well.

If because of not being able to go to more than one tryout, then will try select, if it doesn't work will be signing up for lacrosse camps! :!:

You are right on, Rock27!!  Lacrosse is awesome game!!  I played in college and it was a great experience...the sport is fast, aggressive, and fun!!  I think it is great for boys and girls...I've actually been asked to start a club in SW Washington ('Couve) for youth and high school...not sure I can do that!
