How many felt fields were bad this weekend?
« on: September 11, 2005, 08:41:23 PM »

I went to 2 seprate games, both grass fields that needed to be mowed badly. It made for a slow track, with players struggling not to jam themselves on the dribble.

Why wouldn't they mow the fields before the games this weekend? Seems pretty poor on a planning aspect to have the fields be too long, and hinder play for the teams. the grass was a good 3 inches or so. Kind of made for slow weird soccer.

Just an observation.

fields soggy, long and squishy
« Reply #1 on: September 11, 2005, 10:47:18 PM »

I agree Squash. In the tri cities the fields were very very long. It was silly, mow the lawn.. er field before they play.

Several field got flooded out already? whats with that? and then some played on turf already. yikes! that made for bouncy ball soccer at the least

Hmmm... time to get on your john deers and mow the fields guys/gals of the clubs! :P

Glad to see you're happy with the result.  It's a good attitude to have gunnar to be honest, the team you played is definitely good.

Who scored for you guys?

I wasn't ....I wish, but I had other things I had to do. I'm not sure how many of the games I'll make to be honest. I'm hoping to make some this year though. Glad to hear you score.

I have no clue who 25 is....the highest number I know of is 22. Man I haven't watched them play in way too long. Was he a forward or what?

I think you meant he needs to train on shooting...not umm $ucks  ;)  Remember gunnar try to stay positive about fellow players. Oh and although i like Kyle as a player, I disagree on being their best player.

LOL..today I figured out who you were talking about gunnar. It wasn't AJ, he's injured. Oh and I gave the frog the hardest time about your comment. Thanks your post was worth a few good laughs. I hear he got a card for clobbering you, and he said you fell over like a little girl. ;)

LOL....well, it gave me a good laugh. Frog boy is what I'll call him for the next month, just to get under his skin. He said you fouled him..LOL, and the card was BS, since he got the ball and you fell over like a girl.

Yep ..he pretty much said the same thing. He said he was mad about the card because it was a 50/50 and he got the ball. You also kicked his leg, but then the falling like a girl sealed it for the foul on him and the card.      But the frog is classic .... I haven't laugh so hard in a long time.

nice work with the goal, but try not to say any player on their team sucks. must've been Daniel Gray who scored the shot into the upper corner. he takes the free kicks for Bellarmine and he's hit some good ones. they always call him DG which is probably where you heard DJ, it would really piss me off to be called DG, but whatever. it seemed to me that there was always a player that was better than leo that played forward on that team but didn't really get the same number of opportunities to play. i can't really remember his name though. it could've been Ryan Luke, but i feel like it was another more livewire forward like Kyle.

Ryan Luke starts..he actually played well, but played unselfish and set others up. Luke will score plenty of goals.
