April 29 - 6:15 to 8:00 - Starfire Field 2 North
May 1 - 6:15 to 8:00 - Starfire Field 2 North
May 6 - 6:15 - 8:00  - Starfire Field 2 North
May 8 - 6:15 - 8:00 - Starfire Field 2 North

Dolphins U16 Tryouts

In 2007, The Dolphins hired professional coach Jesus Bautista to develop a 4-year program designed to return the team to the WSYSA premiership and prepare the girls to compete at the collegiate level.

In the first year of the program, the results are impressive.  The Dolphins earned promotion to the WSYDL and finished in 1st place (9-0-1 record, 6 shutouts).  In addition to this, the team participated in some of the top tournaments in our region during the spring and summer of 2007, earning results against some of the best clubs in WA, OR, ID and British Columbia.

The goal for the U16 season is to win a spot in 'P3' at LPTs in August.  We are looking for dedicated, year-round soccer players to help us achieve this and will be holding tryouts at Starfire May 13, 15, 20 and 22 from 6:15-8pm.

Just a reminder

Dolphins GU16

WSYDL Champions and Challenge Cup Quarterfinalist will be holding open trainings starting tonight at Starfire.  

We are looking for dedicated soccer players to achieve our goal of P3 at LPTs.

Very good team.  I have watched these girls improve tremendously over the last year.  The coach also has a very impressive resume.

I agree.  I have been very impressed the times I have seen this team play.  Lots of heart with these girls.

The Dolphin Philosophy

For the U-16 season, The Dolphins92 coaching staff will focus on team tactics and functional skills training to help the girls prepare for the next level.  As educators of this beautiful game, we strive to achieve a balance between European discipline and Latin American technique.  Using this philosophy, we believe our players will become so comfortable with the ball they will demonstrate their own fluidity and rhythm on the field.

However, the development of a truly successful soccer player does not occur over night but is a journey that can only be measured in years of dedication, not days.  As parents and coaches, ‘Our Mission’ for the 2008/09 season is to provide these terrific young women the unique opportunity to continue to develop together, both on and off the pitch.  That is, we believe the character and composure developed in soccer carry over into everyday life.  After all, life is soccer, right?
