Only 800 views to hit 40K.  Very  do-able.

It's always good to get info like this.  A lot of us CP's don't see what happens in other clubs.

Glad I followed this from the beginning - geez 18 pages! Remember sometimes there are just a few bad apples in the whole basket.

I guess the question is -- if the person who threatened violence gets another job, does that said person have a clean slate, is an eye kept on them even though not with Crossfire anymore, or have the wrongs of his past keep him/her out of youth soccer?  We might as well discuss something till we get to 40,000.

I would think that if a club hires him in the State of Washington, knowing full well what he has done, there liability would be much greater when he does something wrong again.  Threatening violence is something that a person can easily get sued as is slander.  The club makes itself much more culpable if he does something like this again.  Who would want that risk.

If Megson goes out of state to find another job (Perhaps NWN wants him, since they are emulating some of the worst of the Crossfire bahvior?) can he please take Schumacher with him?

same post I head from the other thread but cannot resist

Just got through reading the 19 pages of Duffers comments from last summer. If half the things I read are true then there are crazy people in soccer to the extent that makes little league baseball look like a knitting club. I don't blame the board, the coaches, the directors, the various governing bodies, or even the players. I blame the parents if any of what I read is true. Profanity, physical threats, recruiting, etc at youth soccer. Are you kidding me? What amazes me if that is really happening and the parents are aware of it then you get what you deserve and I have no sympathy at all for your or your child. Parents who condone it then must not be surprised if it happens to their child. Parents still control any club whether they choose to exercise that control or not whether it be being on boards or by their pocketbook. No championship is worth what I was reading on there. The excuse making for the threat to a senior citizen made me spill my coffee. For any human being to threaten an 80 year old man in front of children you not only should not be a coach, you should not be a parent, board member, or human being for that matter. Who does that? Using profanity in youth sports only means you are an out of control idiot that needs to have counseling not be in charge of anything. The recruiting, financial stuff, and other less crazy stuff may not be right but can be found many places. Having played and coached high school football I have seen some intense coaches and it is a very emotional and violent sport. This soccer stuff puts it too shame, at least off the field.

In the interest of fairness if all of what I read is untrue then I take back everything I have just posted. I have no idea of what is or is not true and I have no ax to grind against any club or organization. Some of the description of what occurred if true, makes me wonder if the inmates are running the asylum.
