To be completely honest I have been around soccer for a long time in vancouver and have never heard of him. Hopefully  he brings some good things to FCV/WSA however I have a feeling they may have hired him because im assuming he has a "B" license since thats what they needed to stay in the PDL. That is fine I truly hope he is a good fit for them since they have gone through a few different DOC's in the last year.

"A" Licence - Previous DOC at Rouge Valley Soccer Club and Lake Oswego Soccer CLub; assistant Coach for Univeristy of Portland with Clive Charles; Director of Coaching for Linfield College among other things.  Google him - he's there.

While I would like to congratulate our friends to the East, it would be nice to see an announcement made from them that doesn't take away from the other Premier level clubs in the area.  Great announcement, exciting news, and I'm sure will continue to raise the level of play down here,  but I beg to differ.

"The elite soccer club....".   Should read "ONE of the elite".

If this man worked with Clive Charles, he learned from one of the best, both on the field and off.  Congratulations on the new position and good luck with all of the CP's in the Couve.

tru dat, but you wouldn't really expect any club to put out a press release with even a hint that some other local clubs may be even close to being equal would you ?   Take it for what it is, a press release.

Besides, everyone in the Couve knows FCSC is THE elite club,,,,,,,right ??? hahaha,,,,,,

Apologies to CPSC and FCSC, and any other club, if our release offended you in any way. Clearly, CPSC and FCSC are great clubs too!

We are simply "tooting our own horn" a little and very excited for our club's future!

I think the criteria for being called "The Elite" club has to involve where my DD plays

Since my daughter plays for WSA, I would just like to say, I am happy with our club, and I think we are making strides to making it even better. However, I have been impressed by both CPSC and FCSC every time our team has had the pleasure of interacting, and I think Kennard is right, it is a press release.

I don't think we are "THE" elite club, I am just happy we have so many good solid choices in Cowtown to find the place where our DD fits in best.  :)

Nice to know someone appologizes for offending.
FYI-get ready to do it more often. You will always offend when you are competing with others.
cowtownslueth must be a Timber fan. FCSC parents are more "relaxed".

Regardless, this guy sounds like he will bring something new to a "new" club. Way to go! Anyone under Clive Charles had to of learned something!

It sounds like you have good reason to be excited, and very well stated apology (not that it was necessary). I just thought I'd  point out that there are two other elite clubs, and get the board busy this morning.    All of us cowtown people have been too quiet lately.

I didn't catch that at the beginning, but it does make sense to pass the torch on to another.  (Any one from cowtown that has been around for a while will get that...)
