wait a minute buddy 9.  wpfc hasn't done any bragging.  you have been doing all the talking.  Ha Ha.  and just to shed some light on brackets mister know it all.  the 2nd place team from bracket A we recently played ( you go figure it out),  and 2nd place team from bracket b we played in state cup.  i think it was 7-0.  so don't say only our bracket was  mismatched.  Maybe  some teams are stronger than others but maybe they don't care.  maybe that's the way they wanted to spend their $400.  You my friend just want to paint those cute little 12 year old 6th graders out to be braggers when i think the kids don't learn how to do this ever.  Only parents do, and I don't think  they really feel comfortable doing this until they have a team like a few recent crossfire teams who have had an amazing many years, or like the fc royals girls team who went on to win every state cup but one.  now those teams have right to brag, but don't put words where words aren't.  If you want to put wpfc on a pedestal just so you can knock them off, go ahead.  the team is very grounded and respectful of all their fellow soccer players out there.

This is the comment that got me going:

Congratulations WPFC 95 Black for playing 5 great games. Not letting one single goal passed you. For beating the state champs in the semis and for beating a tough Timbers team in the Final . You girls worked hard all weekend long. Even with 2 players injured and unable to play... you girls never gave up. I hope others step up and say job well done because you earned it..

The only thing this WPFC bragger left out was how she now can walk on water even with both middle fingers injured.

Agree....the team is respectful and a good group of young ladies but as for the parents..... :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:   How long did we have to hear about the uber team.....or how nasty some would get with the Big Kitty about their on-going placement in top ten.....oh and lets not mention brackets???
this weekend is a perfect example: the Timbers  Red played a great final and maybe one or two of you from WPFC have barely commented on that.....you represent  your club, your club had a tournament, show some good sportsmanship and give kudos to someone "anyone" other than your team. That would be a step in
the right direction.

That's your problem.  You are trying to do a job without the right tools.  The Timbers and all the rest of us have given you a pass for the last three years and WE are sick of it.

You have been given a little taste of your own corrosive bla bla after what should have been a pleasant weekend.

All of us would like for you people to just be nice and let each team show the good things they do without your corrosive bla bla.

Just because a team does something good doesn't mean WPFC automatically did something bad that you have to tackle them.  If someone put a team above yours in some meaningless ranking just smile and keep your negative comments to yourself.  Then maybe they will move your name higher on the same meaningless ranking or down who cares its not like your coach takes away the ice cream if WPS thinks one thing or another.

You don't like it.  Don't do it to anyone else and I will go back into that rat hole I came out of and leave you alone.

i think you must have our team confused with some other team. Re-read  the history. there isn't any bragging or bad mouthing or anything else.  you've just created it in your own mind to get the site kickstarted and at the same time belittle a good little soccer team and their parents.  see you in church.  Now I have to go to my other forum where we play nice in the sandbox.

Maybe you should focus on trying to actually beat Crossfire instead of typing.  Since you are not good at either the former seems more productive.

why don't you ask crossfire what they think about wpfc.  the two recent matches and scores only tell you the scores.  the team can tell you the story.

White chocolate and macadamia nut going in in about 15 minutes.  I had to go to the store to get the main ingredients... don't usually have those hanging around the house.

Macadamias... and I thought gas was expensive!!!

This all makes for interesting reading.
Okay, so I will go out on a small limb and piss some people off by agreeing with "some" of the things 9 writes about.
BUT...what I don't understand is how can WPFC play against two tough teams and come out on top?
You can argue and say WPFC came out of bracket play "easier" than most, but they still had two tough teams to play.

And teams who enter that have anything that is called "death" in their bracket, money well spent I'd say.
Prefer to play tougher teams and not win, then to play "easier" teams and win.

9 - is this the only age that is the complaint of you and your PM's OR is this the entire WPFC teams who entered in to RC win or lost?
You have me curious  :|

It was the WPFC bragging that got me going.  For those of you that haven't followed this age group.  WPFC sets up a strawman, knocks it down and then goes on and on how much better their team is than anyone else-when in reality it was a setup from the begining (The begining of course being 2006).

I just thought you would like to see WPFC for what they really are: Wannabees.

You still have yet to answer the question, but will assume that it is simply THIS team from WPFC that you are pissy about?
and for those who have followed this age group, and yes this team, I do realize.
My kid played in the finals at RC at U-11 and lost to Eastside 1-0.
WPFC wasn't in the finals..no bragging rghts awarded to them, simply to Eastside.
So...my DD is the "dumb" one that keeps going to the tourney since we get screwed apparently?  :?

HOWEVER, do I 'think' WPFC (at this age group) had an "easy" bracket, sure one would say that. But how would you explain the last two teams they played?
You have yet to explain...

I would hope all these teams involved in this thread would enter this tourney and think about how awesome it is for their players to be able to play this wonderful game.

My oldest daughter is 11 and currently plays for Westsound FC Wedge. Before that we were over at FC Crush for two years. Very quickly our entire family became a big part of the soccer community and they became a big part of our family. We also have three other children a 14 year old (baseball player), 7 year old who plays for Westsounds Academy program and our forever 5 year old Nathan who was taken from us June 14, 2007.

As the anniversary of Nate's death was approaching I wondered what I could do to both honor his memory and also do some good. See Nate had neuroblastoma which is a rare all too often fatal form of pediatric cancer. He fought this disease courageously for 2 and half years before it took him from us. One of Nate's favorite things to do was to watch his sisters play soccer and talk of the day when he would be bigger and could play too. For Nate and the other warriors who have succumbed to this disease that day will never come. What better way to honor him than a charity jamboree with all funds going to neuroblastoma research.

I reached out to Westsound and was overwhelmed with their generosity and support. Just this weekend I received the news that our application for sanctioning was approved. The date of the jamboree is June 14, 2008 at Gordon Field in Bremerton. We are looking for teams both boys and girls U11-13. Entry fee will be $195 with a guarantee of 3 games. I am in the process of getting information put on the Westsound webpage.

Any interested parties can contact me directly to register at kristoform@hotmail.com or 360-649-8685. Thanks again for all your help WPSFCF.

Abra McKean

What a terrific thing to do! I only wish the field included the '94's...I would push hard to get our team involved! I hope so many teams sign up that you have to turn them away!

It was posted on a pass issue of the pulse with picture of Natey.  I just thought it was appropriate to interject into this long winded conversation.
