Harbor FC Canas vs FC Aanvallen
« Reply #4 on: January 28, 2006, 06:05:43 PM »

Harbor lost to Aanvallen today 2-0.  Aanvallen forward was very fast and caused a lot of problems.  Both teams played with Heart & Fire.  Harbor girls should be very proud of there season and making this far. :!: Up and coming for next year and tryouts are just a few weeks away.

Good luck to Aanvallen in there next game.  :)

Well done to all the U11 teams out there!  Go Velocity!!!  I have to root for the teams that were in my league to prove they are worth the talk!

EFC White U13 vs Crossfire- Button '92
Game tied 0-0, goes into overtime.  Shots seemed to be approximately 10-3 EFC favor...
Overtime comes and EFC scores 1 goal in each half...EFC wins 2-0
We have to travel to the "frozen tundra" as I am hearing it to be called Moses Lake..... to play CB United... anyone know anything about them??

Royals 2 Timbers 1

ROYALS 2 TIMBERS 1

WOW what an incredible game.......The Timbers are incredible,  they have nothing to hang their heads about.  They came out gunning and put the first one in the net in the 1st 5 minutes.  The Royals tightened their belts and one of the RRG was able to put a shot in from about 25 yards out with about 5 minutes to go in the half.  Royals controlled about 60% the first half.

2nd half Royals were fired up and ready to take it, 10 minutes into the half, another RRG put a shot in from about 25 yards out.  The Royals controlled the most of the 2nd half except the last 2 minutes where the Timbers were pressing very hard.

Hats off to the Timber girls, coaches and parents.......Here is to many years of North South Rivalry

Emerald City White 1 Force 0

Great game as both teams played an extra 20 minutes.  Emerald scored with 3 minutes left in the 2nd OT.  Force had the most opprotunities to score but couldn't find the back of the net missing more then a few breakaways as well as hitting the post.  Kudos to Emerald as they fought hard and the hard work paid off.  Force should hold there heads high as well as they played very well today the ball just didn't bounce their way.

1-0 NWN Red winning it~  Hubby said it was a GREAT battle!!
I am soooooo proud of you Dos girls!!!  Sounds like it wasn't the "blow out" that most predicted!  The best thing was seeing my DD's face when she came home...a bit disappointed...but still lovin' the game and happy with the way she and her teammates played !!

Thanks again Coach Sherri, Coach "BOB" and all you AWESOME Dos players and parents!!!  What an incredible year!  We had a BLAST!!  :)   8)  8)  8)

Good Luck to all who are moving on!...Go '94's!!!!!

P.S.  Gumby...where and when next weekend??  Big Mac and family want to be there to root Tink and her teammates on!

Boy - Could not have stated it better than Blue Bleeder. So take notice Dragon Meister, the RRG's are on a mission and will take it one game at a time.         I have to agree that the Timbers put up a valiant effort in this game and they can hang their heads high. If I had a chrystal ball I know we will see this team again in the future.

Also add my thanks not only to the team but their coaches and parents who make a game like this great fun.

Also saw a few WSP poster like Cheese there so thanks for the support as well as some folks from Harbor as well so the next game should be a great one too.

The catalyst or should I say the finally of a a well fought game between the Timbers and the Royals was the beautiful rainbow that appeared at the end of the game and covered the field. It was as if some higher power was reaching out to tell all the girls that they are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Sounds a bit corny but so true. They are all real gems in our book.

Yes, I was sighted at the Royals v Timbers game 8)

Great game I must say.  Royals controled the ball maybe 60% if that.  Much more like a 50-50 game to me.  Game could have gone either way.

Royals hit 2 "Hail Mary" type kicks from outside the box that went in.  Timbers took advantage of a misque of the Royals D and did an awesome job at following the shot that came off the post to finish it.
Either way one had to advance and one had to go home.  I felt sorry for the Timbers, they played such a good game.

The will be back next year fo sho  ;)

After game dinner
« Reply #21 on: January 28, 2006, 11:19:39 PM »

Dinner after the game was excellent.
I got to sit with my old buddy Mousey Man.  Known him for a long time.  Some of the CP's that knew me made little comments about my pizza and the "cheese" that was on it    Yeah, you know who you are ;)   Truth is there was not enough cheese on it at all      Gonna have to order extra next time.

It was a blast hanging with a great team.  Might have to do the same with another team at the quarter finals. ;)

Don't know what game you saw, but they were not Hail Mary's.  Those are we 2 very intentional kicks.

Sorry Blue, didn't mean to make it sound like a desperate shot.  Both kicks were over 25 yards out.  In football a TD pass a long distance is a "Hail Mary".  Just another way of saying it was a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot. ;)

Its ok, the post just made it sound like these were desperate shots.  In football, a Hail Mary is associated with an last ditch effort to score in the last seconds of a game.
