This was what I was wondering about - pack stuff to take, or be able to find something good.  The area does sound rather remote for a hour to work with.....

I like your idea of what to pack - and I have that stuff here at home, soooooo I might do that.

:~)

Really?  I would have never guessed that one!

Now thats kidding for ya!

Keep in mind, Seattle can be up to an hour and half closer to Portland than Everett (traffic depending). A clear run would make Seattle 45 min closer.  Good on them for being closer, maybe they can finish sooner for having that early game!

1pm late game?  If 1pm is the late game than the 5pm is the midnight snack.

My DD team played in Hillsboro last friday @ 11:00. We left at 5:30am from the Kitsap area and still made it by about 9:15 after a few stops. traffic moved well but many state patrol along I-5

Tualatin is a hop, skip and a jump from Athey Creek.  There's all sorts of places to eat in Tualatin.

we're here :)  found a starbucks, 4 gas stations, mexican, pasta, pizza and the usual grab and gulps.   next to two separate interchanges and can go any direction!  pool is closed too!  no temptation for the kids.  A/C works.......internet works.   no beer fridge though lol.   could be a good spot!

PnJ

Good to hear you arrived!  We are leaving in about an hour.  This weekend is tough, one DK in Portland, one DK at 60 acres.

I hope this trip down there will go smoothly - Ive made it only once before.

Anyone at 60 acres this weekend - the Friday 4pm BU-16 game is a re-match of the Commissioners State Cup Finals.  Should be a really good game - if any of you are there, yell out a supportive cheer for PPFC for me.  I will miss this game!  :(

Glad to hear all you Puget Sounders are making your way to the Big Bad P-Town area.

Traffic is traffic- it's no different then we come to Starfire, 60 Acres, or good forbid Bainbridge Island.

Have fun and play well.

Made it down there in 3.5 hours w/o getting lost.  Returned "home" well to catch the older son's game at 60 acres in 2.5 hours.

Ok, so those of you in Oregon - do you have no other way to travel on Fridays but I-5?  GOOD GRIEF that traffic from the hotel to the field was HORRID!

There was a bit of a soccer tourney atmosphere (horay) at the front fields of the middle school but parking was tight, hard to find.

The field we played on in back was sunburned but was ok.  I cant say Ive seen football uprights converted to soccer nets before.
:)

Thanks for the decent weekend, Lake Oswego.
