Speed and Strength training?
« on: May 08, 2017, 10:47:53 PM »

Anyone have any positive/successful experiences with a speed and strength program? DD could use a bit more zip moving down the field and a bit more "umph" in her shots and long balls.

Thanks

Chochi Valenzuela offers speed training and power shooting programs in Shoreline, Seattle, and Tacoma.  My daughter took his speed training and shooting programs.  She really enjoyed it and I think it was effective.  He has a website here:  http://www.speedtrainersusa.com/

My S took Chochi's classes too, speed training and also his shooting classes.  He's great with kids.

How old is this kid?

I'll suggest to you she doesn't need speed/strength training - she needs technical training.

She's 13. Technical skills are pretty solid, although I agree it is always an area to be developed. She's not really looking to get "huge", but her long balls and shots are a bit weak in comparison to peers (form is good). Quickness is solid, but she has yet to find 5th gear.

I've been in contact with Chochi, so thanks all for the recommendation.
